Japan Hōsei 4 (1707). Mount Fuji is on the verge of erupting. Red hot lava will soon consume the three secret Seien-ji (聖煙寺), sacred temples hidden deep in the bowels of the volcano. The Shōgun is determined to preserve the precious heritage and sends his most noble and gifted samurai warriors on a quest inside the volcano to retrieve the valuable goods.

In Fuji Koro, you and your team of samurais must gather scared scrolls and magical weapon blueprints, gather resources to craft useful gear, and get out of the volcano before it erupts!

However, lava is not the only challenge these noble warriors will face, as fantastical dragons lurk in the depths of the mountain, waiting to eat those who venture into the darkness!

Fuji Koro is a dice-rolling, push-your-luck modular board game scored on victory points based on objectives completed during the game through rescuing monks and retrieving magical gear and dragon teeth for the Shōgun.

Fuji Koro can be played both competitively or co-operatively - allowing for multiple gaming opportunities on the tabletop!

Fuji Koro was demonstrated by publisher Game Brewer at the Festival International des Jeux in Cannes earlier this year and be arriving soon on Kickstarter, but you can keep up-to-date through the Game Brewer website.

Will Fuji Koro be added to your game collection this year?
