Modiphius has announced that they are working on publishing a new Mass Effect board game later this year alongside Asmodee. Designed by Eric M. Lang and Calvin Wong Tze Loon, Mass Effect The Board Game - Priority: Hagalaz is going to be a new cooperative, story-driven board game.

Set during the events of Mass Effect 3, one more mission has been set before Shepard and their crew...

"On the remote world Hagalaz, a research cruiser from the terrorist organisation Cerberus has crashed directly in the path of a deadly storm. With little time before the storm hits, Shepard must lead their squad through the cruiser to uncover its sinister secrets and keep them out of the hands of the enemy. However, the ship holds more dangers than just its former crew. Deep within the shattered cruiser stir creatures and enemies far worse than the Cerberus forces that guard them."

In Priority: Hagalaz you will get stuck into a branching, narrative campaign game where multiple playthroughs will lead you down different routes each time. You will play as Shepard and their crew including Liara, Tali, Wrex and Garrus who can all be upgraded with new abilities, equipment and powers. Working together, you will battle the card-driven AI and the evolving story which responds to your actions.

In true Mass Effect fashion, you will also be able to unlock unique powers and abilities by completing optional loyalty missions. As a bit of a bonus, the game will also come with six highly detailed 32mm scale pre-assembled plastic miniatures for both male and female Shepard plus Liara, Tali, Wrex and Garrus.

Mass Effect The Board Game - Priority: Hagalaz will be available later in 2024!
