Kickstarter this April is once again jam-packed with lots of new board games that are highly anticipated and are creating quite the stir. So let's have a look at what we have coming up this April 2021 from the crowdfunding platform.

Hippocrates // Game Brewer

Coming to Kickstarter on April 5th, Hippocrates by Game Brewer. You will get the chance to go back to the ancient island of Kos in Greece. As one of Hippocrates' successors, you will take the helm as a lead medic with a team behind you to treat a bunch of suffering patients that have travelled from across the Mediterranean sea. All hosted in the temple of Asclepios - the first known hospital in history.

Empyreal: Spells & Steam // Level 99 Games

The reprint of Empyreal: Spells & Steam is coming to Kickstarter on April 6th by Level 99 Games. In the fantasy rail-building game, you will cast spells by using mana to build and construct rails, while connecting exciting and fantastical towns and cities to build a vibrant trade network.

Monster Hunter World // Steamforged Games

Monster Hunter World the Board Game is coming to Kickstarter on 20th April. This is one that I am super excited about. Players will become hunters like in the iconic video game, to tackle and take down gigantic beasts and iconic monsters, whilst improving weapons and crafting items to help you succeed.  There are also expansions available through each pledge too!

Hidden Leaders // BFF Games

Hidden Leaders is another Kickstarter ready to go live on April 20th. There is conflict afoot between tribes after the event of death in their Emporer. Some factions attempt to keep the peace, whereas others are keen on war. Players will take the hot-seat of one of the six leaders embedded within the universe to manipulate the conflict and ultimately reign over the land.

It's a Wonderful Kingdom // Ori Games

For those who are familiar with the popular board game, It's a wonderful World - the upcoming sequel It's a Wonderful Kingdom by Ori Games is coming to Kickstarter on the 20th April too. Inspired using the same game mechanics, you will need to expand your kingdom completely quests with a modular design involved - tricking and bluffing your opponents and constantly engaging to propel powerful allies.

There are tons more titles coming out on Kickstarter this month, but these ones specifically have taken my eye. I am looking forward to learning more about what they all have to offer.

Are there any other Kickstarters that you are looking forward to this April?
