The designer of one of the world's most famous board games, Klaus Teuber, has passed away aged seventy. CATAN Studio announced the news this week of the passing of the famed designer who created a board game that most of us have probably had in our collection at one point or another.

Showcasing more 3D game pieces, confirmation of reboot for Settlers of the Stone Age, and worldwide championship before the end of the year. 

CATAN Studios have announced their newest venture, focussing on the prehistoric era within human history; titled CATAN Dawn of Humankind. 

There is a new expansion making its way onto the tabletop in July 2021, promising to bring Dragons, Treasure and more adventures into the mix. 

CATAN for most board game my age and above seems to be some kind of catalyst. The game has stood strong for years upon years, gaining new editions, expansions, collectors editions - you name it! Yet CATAN has just upped it's game once more - pun very much intended. KOSMOS and CATAN Studio have teamed up to create CATAN in a brand new experience, entitled CATAN: 3D Collector's Edition.

It was revealed this week that a Limited Edition version of board game classic CATAN which features 3D game components is going to be coming back to the tabletop.

The Catan team has joined forces with the Crop Trust to design a new semi-cooperative scenario for those playing this stalwart of the board game world.
