You need a quirk? We are already gamers. Isn’t that quirky enough?
We have quirks within quirks – quirkception
Good show to catch for a general wrap up of the year. With all our bad habits its good to recog ize them and reinforce the good ones.
@johnlyons follow Shay’s lead and stop buying RC until you’re done with some minis. You can put in the hyper focus work. Turn it onto other models. As far as other habits, don’t admit to being human to the masses. You might lose your image of being one of the Cool Kids.
@brennon clean you brushes to keep material costs down. If you’re buying nylon brushes disregard. Kolinsky Sable will not forgive the neglect… also, watch out for those games. Rum, sodomy and the lash should stay with the English and go nowhere near Greeks.
@shayott congrats on denying your urge to buy new minis until you get stuff done. I applaud your stalwart endeavor to follow on the path of @torros to get everything painted. You have made a fatal mistake and admitted that peer pressure can bend your will. With that I will push for you to finish that Zulu army. Its only a few models left to do for your Age of Magic and you might get a game of SAGA on camera we can watch.
I really do need to get some brush cleaner at the ready to help…
Like water?
WOT? Zulu Wars Iis nothing to fo with me. Shaming Shay into getting ACW painted yes but not Zulu Wars
How does that glitch with the video even happen? Good xlbs very strange sliced up video.
Sorry about the video – there is a new code coming for it to fix it
Not a moan just find it a strange problem.
And once the ‘cold war’ is done …
What about other wars ? (and maybe even some in the stars ?)
The campaign mechanic is may need a few tweaks to account for the tech level, but the overall concept should work as a means of generating encounters between various forces and their initial dispositions.
My new favourite quote “my advice is detrimental to your heath” 😂
Herro Backstagers!
I’m an unbaptised [Insert Sharp quote here] according to @johnlyons because I never ever have drunken my paint water. Might because I rarely drink anything while painting.
And @shayott your Rome is not done yet. SHAAAAAAY! (I think @torros was the one mentioning it. Or maybe @zoidpinhead )
Also I have zero bad hobby habits. I only ever buy what I need, paint everything the minute it comes in and most important of all: I do not have a giant backlog of projects over at BoW!
Should I make an Insight check to see if you are lying @sundancer?
Me? Lying? Impssibru!
Not guilty on the charge of haranguing Shay. Although I’m happy to agree that nearly done is still not finished.
Mehhhhhh. Young wipper-snappers. Mock the age related failing eyesight of us older yins all you want…but just remember it will be YOU someday.
Lovely GBs this week. I’m so tempted to start a Star Wars based system looking at all of the delightful stuff that appears across the site. Perhaps I’ll wait for the fire sale.
As to bad habits I confess to Shiny Syndrome ruling and indeed ruining my purchasing plans. Like a few I’ve never drunk paint water – mine is in something that looks very different to anything I drink from. What is wrong with everyone that they would put their paint water in the same sort of mug as their tea? Good habits only evolve more slowly. One I have found helpful is to put aside my perfectionist tendencies in the aid of getting stuff painted. I’ve been able to more than double my output by adjusting my expectations and techniques. 800 painted in a year is very impressive @brennon Well done.
My bad habit this year has been buying new games, so I have quite a few starter sets unbuilt and painted. So next year the plan is to not buy any miniatures, though I can purchase terrain and rule books.
My bad habit is tipping over citadel shade paints, despite having printed numerous holders and assistive devices. Great episode, happy Sunday all!
HAPPY SUNDAY……
Yay weekender time folk’s 👍
Great show guy’s 👍
Just don’t lick your brush after it’s had Army Painter wash on it — a flavor you won’t soon forget, and not in a good way…
I’m incredibly honored to have received the last Golden Button of the year, thanks! Being part of this community has been a highlight of the last few years for me, so sincerely, thank you.
What Jon said about the project system is bang on. I’m an average painter but using the project system gives me the confidence to keep trying new things and I really appreciate the feedback when it comes.
