Sorry for the white noise issue folks. Just a note for headphone users that there are a few blips in the episode so be aware!
Still a better production than GW. Throw in some dodgy lighting next time. 🤣
Friday! Yeah!
😁🤞🏻
I don’t know if it’s just on my end, but this video has a repeating audio issue. There are few instances where the audio just goes to static for a second. Not enough to ruin it. But never heard that problem with your videos before.
Yeah, there was definitely something, white noise of death, not ideal
Yep. Sound was knackered.
Your ‘They Live’ / ‘Obey’ audio filter seems to be on the blink. Please install the latest patches.
I’m not sold on the dark water game but the map book intrigues me.
Trench Cthulhu! Cool. 😁
Yay Weekender time lonicy now begins
Lloyd is in with Rome then 🤔
Happy weekend all
Fab weekender guy’s
Nice one 🙂
I’m not convinced by WHQ being an arena battler. But I’m of the era of board sections and plastic door frames.
I realise Flames of War is largely about Europe, but what about China vs Japan. In China they say WWII started in 1931 and turned heavy in 1937 and the 2nd Sino-Japanese went from 1937-41. Where’s the models for that?
I love those Viking buildings and those Vitrix models are fantastic!
Cthulhu in the trenches? I think I’ve found the reason WWII didn’t end in K’47!
You could probably get away with using the early war German plastic infantry (you would just need to paint brownish puttees over the jackboots). However the other uniforms are going to be almost impossible to do. There’s a fairly recent Chinese movie “The 800”, it’s a bit over the top at times but there’s not a lot of choice when it comes to movies…
The Eight Hundred – Wikipedia
Another is (of course)….
City of Life and Death – Wikipedia
Which covers the battle (and massacre) of Nanjing.
You can probably get an idea of some of the uniforms the Chinese were using. As to the equipment, it’s nearly all imports from Germany, Russia, UK etc, so that’s not so much of an issue. The only other option for doing some of the Chinese units is if you can get hold of some Vietnam VC figures armed with a rifle for the more “militia” type units. I’ve been hammering on that Battlefront (15mm) AND Warlord (28mm) NEED to do some Chinese infantry to match up against the Japanese (rather than the usual US Marines island hopping vs the Japanese). Alas this theatre is pretty much ignored by ALL the manufactures in just about any scale. It’s a great big hole of missing battles etc (they seem to much rather redo German SS troops ad infinitum (although I suppose that’s what sells these days).
@dignity the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) was used by American forces in France. They began to arrive in July 1918 but weren’t used until mid September with major use during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. In other words, the last six weeks of the war. About 30,000 were delivered to US forces as compared to about 100,000 of the French Chauchat.
Cannot watch the Weekender because the site is asking me to sign in to YT.I am trying to watch on OTT,i don’t watch the Weekender or XLBS on YT.
I like the look of the Jade Wizards sickle. Not enough sickles deployed on the battlefield in my opinion.
AoS Panoramix/Getafix.
About those Cthulhu crusaders: Amazing miniatures, very unfortunate (and/or hilarious) name for spanish speakers. And apparently for english ones too (although the jokes about it are definitely cleaner in the latter).
Nice to see Flames of war going to early war.
I thought the static was my computer at first, then I thought it was creative beeping of swears.
Those are some great new Battlefront Starter sets and not often that Dunkirk gets a box set at all.
happy weekender
Hey Battlefront, WWII started on 1st of September 1939 with the invasion of Poland, not in 1940 with the invasion of France. So I’ll be giving my money to Studio Tomahawk.
The Disciples of Tet’o are some cracking models. I can see that Kickstarter doing well
Ehhh, that Prince of Sores doesn’t work for me. I can’t get past the Pippy Longstocking hair/antlers.
Weekend time.
Great weekender once again lads – loving the Trench Crusade minis!
It’s the flames of war starter boxes I always wanted….. but the two not quite so right starters I was tempted into still sit on the shelf…….. aaarrrggghhhh
Fantastic
