Ragnarok Miniatures are back on Kickstarter with another band of mighty Dwarven warriors for use in your 28mm Fantasy wargames. Durinn's Folk are on the march, trying to secure their underground home against the forces of the Goblins and perhaps something darker.

There are two options when it comes to pledges with this campaign. The first allows you to get your hands on the thirty-two brand-new Dwarf miniatures that can be used to build your mountain-dwelling army. The second option gets you the same but you also get an evil warband of Goblins for them to fight against!

Breaking down the new miniatures, you get some Command figures including King Durinn himself. Imagine the sound that a warhorn makes in the depths of a cavernous mountain. Crikey!

As well as those leader figures, you also get a whole host of Dwarves that come armed with those brutal long-handled axes that can be used for keeping the swarming Goblins at bay.

Some of the miniatures are sculpted with their shields on their backs and their axes in hand. You could imagine these warriors charging through an open gap in your shield wall, storming into the Goblin masses and hacking them down left right and centre.

You also get additional sets of Dwarves with their shields up and in poses where they are just keeping the Goblins at bay.

These would look nice when ranked up but they also look brilliant when skirmishing as well. Colin Patten has done a sterling job on these miniatures once again and they are absolutely packed with detail. I really like the intricacies of the armour, especially with all of the little patterns that you see on their helmets. Additionally, the battered shields speak of an army of veterans that have been battling for a long time.

If you do want to get yourself the Goblin Warband as well, these are the kind of miniatures you'll be picking up.

Again, brilliant stuff I think you'll agree. If you're interested in the look of Colin's miniatures, you can actually get your hands on more of the range over on Facebook. There is a breakdown of the range so far there and options for how you order.

Could you be tempted to delve too deep into this new Kickstarter?
