If, like us, you're a fan of the work of Daniel Mersey and Mark Copplestone on the Wiglaf Miniatures line, you'll be pleased to know that two packs are coming up soon for those seeking to expand their Dark Age collections in 18mm.

Anglo Saxon Princes & Warriors - Wiglaf Miniatures

North Star has been previewing the miniatures on social media and they are also located on their webstore, ready to go very soon. The first set of miniatures (above) showcases Anglo-Saxon Princes & Warriors that would have fought during the period and would have perhaps found themselves buried at sites such as Prittlewell, Taplow, Marlow and Lakenheath. They look like they could be superb leaders for units and could potentially work as warlords in their own right too.

You can also get yourself a set of Mounted Warriors soon as well!

Mounted Warriors - Wiglaf Miniatures

Mounted Warriors // Wiglaf Miniatures

You get six warriors in this set which include the heroic Ecgfrith Of Northumbria just to cap things off. You'll need to get your hands on appropriate spears for these 18mm cavalry miniatures but the shields come cast on so you'll not have to worry about those.

These add to an exceedingly awesome selection of miniatures for representing the 7th Century. Anglo-Saxons, Vendels, Irish, Welsh and Picts are coming for you to use with this ace wargame. If you'd like to find out more about Mersey's game, you can check out some videos we've done over the last little while.
