Athena Miniatures are closing in on the final few hours for their War Of The Roses Kickstarter. This is a new set of 28mm Historical miniatures which allow you to field massive armies for use during this period of turmoil in England.

This selection of miniatures are all pretty much ready to go and the aim of the Kickstarter is there to make sure that all of these miniatures get released to the masses. There is a classic look to a lot of the miniatures here which cover important characters, mounted generals as well as the rank and file.

All of the miniatures here are cast in metal and would be a really awesome way to build up a classic Medieval army for use during the War Of The Roses. You can use these miniatures for both sides of the conflict as there wasn't much to set them apart beyond the flags flying above them!

Longbowmen // Athena Miniatures

...and then your grim and resolute looking Billmen. These are your hardened troops who are going to be marching forward through the mud!

Billmen were rather deadly despite being rather lowly! Those cruel looking weapons would be able to hack down knights with ease and make a grizzly mess of anyone caught on the other end of them!

As well as the troops and characters that you've got here as part of the Kickstarter you've also got some vignettes which can be set at the back of the battlefield.

These surgeons might make part of a large camp which you need to protect from attack by your opponent! All of this comes together to provide you with a wealth of nice miniatures to use for the War Of The Roses period.
