Oathsworn Miniatures has now launched their Kickstarter for The Dark, The Devout And The Heroic. New beasts and undead spirits are ranging the lands of Northymbra as the fundraiser looks to bring a mass of new metal and resin Fantasy miniatures to Burrows & Badgers.

The Dark The Devout & The Heroic Main - Burrows & Badgers

The new campaign focuses on three particular themes that bring a range of excellent miniatures to the tabletop. Full disclosure, I have already backed this campaign and regular readers will be aware of how much I love this game. So, of course, take anything I say with that in mind!

There are a couple of options for you to choose from when it comes to backing this campaign. As the range is split into three, the first of these covers The Dark...

The Dark - Burrows & Badgers

The Dark // Burrows & Badgers

The Dark collection focuses on a couple of cruel-looking spellcasters who are seeking to raise the Mist-ghasts from their graves to do their bidding. As well as the two necromancers for you to choose from, you've also got those ghostly figures throughout who are wreathed in balefire. If you're looking to make an undead themed warband then this is the way to go.

Perhaps you are interested in banishing these fiends back into oblivion? Well, that's where The Devout set comes in.

The Devout - Burrows & Badgers

The Devout // Burrows & Badgers

Those who like their Witch Hunters might be tempted by this set. It comes with the towering Beaver Arch-Decon and plenty of grim-looking inquisitors who are intent on finding witches and putting them to the torch.

As with most of their kind, they aren't that concerned about who stands in their way either. So, whilst they might be put to purge Mist-ghasts and hunt down necromancers, they might end up making life hard for the regular beasts of Northymbra too. They are very much the moral grey area of Burrows & Badgers it seems.

The last set of beasts then stands between the regular folk and both The Dark and The Devout. These heroes could be placed into plenty of different warbands and there are loads of fun miniatures to paint up.

The Heroic - Burrows & Badgers

As mentioned above, these three sets are the focus of the Kickstarter campaign but you can buy each set individually. You can also just go all-in and buy everything from the campaign. There is no option to pick and choose this time as it adds lots of time to the delivery process and makes things complicated.

I'm very much liking the different figures we're getting this time around. I already have ideas for an undead themed warband and using the Mist-ghasts as a foe that can interrupt regular scenarios that are in full flow!

Henlor Kremmel - Burrows & Badgers

Henlor Kremmel // Burrows & Badgers

Henlor Kremmel here is very much a reminder of Warhammer Fantasy Battles and there is even a very Krell-looking individual as part of The Dark set too...

Wildcat & Hedgehog - Burrows & Badgers

I have to also tip my cap to the rather majestic looking Captain Wilhelm Roke.

I imagine majestic might be a little too much in actuality. I think he looks like he takes no-nonsense, especially with that hammer at his side! As I've done in the past, I'm very eager to paint up this miniature and do a more grimdark paint scheme, complete with blood!

Badger & Rabbit - Burrows & Badgers

It goes without saying that I like the Badger Ranger from The Heroic set but I have to give a special nod to the Puffin Captain!

If you're looking to build a seafaring warband then this might be the miniature you need to lead them. I am fascinated to see what people do when it comes to painting all of the models from this set but especially this fellow.

Fox & Otter - Burrows & Badgers

Things are already going well for the campaign which has just three days left for you to back it. Maybe check out Michael's post on painting Mist-ghasts to get you in the mood? Have no fear if you miss the campaign though as these will all be available later on down the line.

If you just can't wait though (like me!) it's worth diving in and backing the campaign!
