Gamestart Edition has been doing some sterling stuff on Kickstarter for their Fantasy World Creator project. Just as a heads up I have backed this so take that into account as I gush over the artwork, but this is a fantastic set of components for world builders and dungeon masters.

Fantasy World Creator - Gamestart Edition

The main focus around the campaign is to provide you with map tiles, accessories, tokens, character standees and monsters (all beautifully illustrated by Elisa Serio) for you to use when building your role-playing sessions on the tabletop.

As things have progressed they have done well to unlock loads of additional options for players with their stretch goals. All of these are available with each of the different pledges which is neat and we have some great stuff like more Big Bad Monsters...

...as well as the addition of new Campaign Map Tiles for those building up a full overworld.

One of the big stretch goals that they are working towards right now is another set of alternative characters with options for male and female versions of the existing classes.

All of the pieces that you see here have been printed onto a hard-wearing material and the entire collection is rewritable too giving you the chance to doodle on them to your heart's content before wiping them clean for the next session.

You might think it is a little bit odd me choosing this particular campaign to feature once again since I have backed it but I genuinely think this could be a great way for a budding Dungeon Master to build up a collection of options for their sessions. You don't have loads of plastic to paint and the fact that it is so modular gives you a lot of good ways to create interesting landscapes.

Will you be backing this?
