Warlord Games is looking to release a whole bunch of awesome new miniatures for Epic Battles: Waterloo! The Prussians are marching to war with Blücher at their head. It's a good time to like tiny Napoleonic miniatures.

Prussian Starter Army - Warlord Games

At the heart of this new set of releases (due this weekend) is the new Prussian Starter Army. The set comes with well over 1000 little miniatures representing the skirmishers, line infantry, cavalry and artillery that the Prussians could bring to bear at Waterloo. The set also comes with an adorable little Windmill in MDF which can be used to decorate your battlefield.

New Prussian Sets

As well as the Starter Set which gives you pretty much everything that you'd need, there are also a few sets that can "boost" what you already have! For example, maybe you want to snap up a huge set of Line Infantry?

Prussian Infantry Brigade - Warlord Games

This comes with Line Infantry, Jagers, Artillery and Brigade Commanders. All of them are in that 15mm (13.5mm) scale and I think that in general, the detail here is pretty top-notch.

Matched against the Infantry Brigade, we also have the Cavalry Brigade which is going to be thundering across the battlefield. Hussars, Uhlans, Dragoons, Jagers and even more artillery are coming to the tabletop with these sets.

Prussian Cavalry Brigade - Warlord Games

Finishing things off the additional sets for the Prussians, Warlord has also put together the Prussian Landwehr Brigade. This fires in more cavalry and infantry but from a little bit of a different direction. A good way to boost the Landwehr contingent of your army.

Effectively, this means that if you were coming to Epic Battles and really wanted to pick up the Prussians, Warlord Games has you covered. Now you've got the British, French and Prussian forces bulked out with new releases meaning it's pretty easy to play out the big moments of Waterloo and beyond.

New Terrain

As well as the new miniatures, there is also a set of terrain coming to populate your battlefields. One of these pieces is the lovely looking Placenoit.

Placenoit - Warlord Games

Placenoit // Warlord Games

This location, whilst idyllic, was the place where a lot of the bloody hand-to-hand fighting happened. This is where von Bülow’s Prussian IV Korps entered the fighting and you can play this out in a scenario from the Epic Battles: The Waterloo Campaign rulebook.

The second, and larger, terrain set is Papelotte Farm.

The garrison here was very instrumental in delaying Napoleon's forces during Waterloo. Napoleon himself committed a lot of troops to eliminate the troops stationed here and even though it was captured, the Prussians that arrived helped stall the French troops. It fell back into Prussian hands later in the day. Another impressive piece of kit to play out specific battles!

Limited Edition Diorama

Finishing things off for the Prussians, we also have this diorama/vignette which is going to be made available during the pre-order period.

Prussian Plancenoit Assault - Warlord Games

Buying specific pre-order bundles over the next few days will net you the Prussian Plancenoit Assault which looks awesome. The piece shows off the Prussians storming into battle during the afternoon of 18th June 1815. The look of the piece is modelled on the famous painting by Adolph Northen.

Are you tempted to dive in and check out the new Prussian releases from Warlord Games this weekend?
