It seems like an age since there has been some new content for the DC Deck-Building Game, with fans eagerly awaiting new heroes, new systems and growth to see their favourite DC Heroes play out some epic battles on the tabletop. With recent news from Cryptozoic Entertainment, it has now been confirmed that there will be no more releases in 2021, however, there are already some products confirmed for 2022 that will excite fans looking to build their decks for both Rivals and Injustice. 

Funko Games are bringing The Rocketeer to the tabletop as part of a new board game project. The Rocketeer: Fate Of The Future is a new two-player strategy game based on the Disney movie from the 1990s and of course, the comic!

Fan of Tabletop Games on Steam? Well, you are in luck! For the second year now, Valve Corporation has now confirmed and announced that they will be running the Steam Digital Tabletop Fest this October. But this year, we won't be getting a full scope of all digital tabletop titles in the limelight, 2021 is focused on Role-Playing Games.

After many a prototype and growth and development into a roll-and-write, Jamey had announced on the 13th August that an official pre-order date is coming, and this September, players can get their hands on a brand new and very special roll-and-write from Stonemaier Games, entitled Rolling Realms. 

New week, new Zombicide scenario, and where is CMON taking us this week? Are we headed over to Green Horde? Over to a bit of fantasy in Black Plague? This week, players are to head back into their fresh box of 2nd Edition, where an origin story has arisen. Players have previously had the opportunity to see the roots of Amy and Doug - but this time, it's Ned's turn and he's on the hunt for some missing keys - and we are off for a solo adventure.

Capstone Games have recently announced their partnership with Deep Print Games bringing Corrosion to the tabletop, as players take the responsibility to manage their own engineering shop, whilst simultaneously working on machines to ensure that all runs as smoothly as... a well-oiled machine!

Earning gold and erecting buildings has never been so easy, as the award-winning card game Citadels is getting a bit of a revision. No need to put hours away for this cheeky bit of construction, as Citidels is getting a new edition, adding a streamlined experience and evolved mechanics to the game.

Myth & Goal is a brand new Fantasy Football board game coming to Kickstarter soon from the folks at Blacklist Games! James Hewitt and Sophie Williams are behind the rules for this one so if you're a fan of the work by Needy Cat Games then you'll want to check this out.

There is a new expansion coming for those adventurers who like to access Dungeons & Dragons via board game journey! Rio Grande Games are working on a new game from Tom Lehmann, the creator of the legendary Race For The Galaxy. Dice Realms is a brand new "dice building" game where you seek to create the most prosperous world. 

Corvus Belli has started to showcase some of the finished miniatures from their upcoming Sci-Fi game, Infinity Deathmatch: TAG Raid. We've seen renders previous to this but now an expert has put brush to miniature and produced these fantastic pieces.

Most recently, Pandasaurus Games have had a puzzle up on their Twitter. A very strange, slider-looking puzzle and it has been irking the brain of us board gamers to what it could be. Now finally announced, a brand new title encompassing time-travel and reality conception in the upcoming board game, The Time You Killed Me. 

Does Omega Virus sound similar to you? This was a board game that was out in the early 90s, where players become the ultimate heroes of space and step up to save the impending doom of the BattleSat1 Space Station from being taken over by the Omega Virus. To my excitement, the game is not getting a restoration, however, it is getting a new title bringing the game into 2021 with fresh new content. Announcing, Omega Virus: Prologue.

Now, this is a new concept! Mouse Cheese Cat Cucumber brings four very different playable characters into the mix.  To fill you in, up to four players will take the role of either a devious mouse, a grounded piece of cheese, a detecting cat or a calculated cucumber. And it is up to the player to use a combination of tile placement and social deduction to hunt for a winner. 

Descent: Legends Of The Dark, the next step in Fantasy Flight Games' Descent line, is now becoming available for you to snap up and dive into. This is a big ol' box that is packed to the gills with miniatures, 3D terrain and hours (and hours) of Fantasy adventure.

The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow is a game in which I have enjoyed and dabbled over the years. A hunt for the werewolf, or an attempt to escape death. This social deduction, player elimination game is getting an interesting new spin, and no it doesn't include a different mythical creature, but some famous Disney Villains instead, in Asmodee's new whimsical card game adventure - Gathering of the Wicked. 

CMON is releasing scenarios thick and fast across all of their Zombicide titles. Whether you are looking for fresh content for Zombicide Second Edition or Green Horde, there are new free online campaigns ready for you to download, print and play coming out on a weekly basis.  A new scenario has arisen and for a Zombicide game that is rising from the grounds as tactical as a hungry zombie. Zombicide: Invader has a brand new scenario up, and 4 players must escape and protect, buying some time along the way, with new content entitled 'Nice Guys Finish Last'.

Draco Studios' Dragonbond: Lords Of Vaala, a massive asymmetrical board game designed by Alessio Cavatore, is now live on Kickstarter. This is a seriously impressive Fantasy board game that includes one of my favourite elements of the genre, dragons!

Pandasaurus Games have now announced their final release of 2021, and now that we have seen The Loop, Wild Space and Brew hit retail - it is time for a new board game to take the spotlight for a November release - and it is certainly different from their other titles this year.Trek 12 is the upcoming fast-paced roll-and-write where players aspire to make their way to the very peak of many a mountain in the Himalayas, on an exhibition of creativity and beauty. 

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Monopoly has taken the world by storm, and the Nintendo-themed classic game has sold out across stores worldwide. And the game is not even released yet! So if you are looking to collect fish, bugs and fossils, and utilise your 'Nook Miles' on a tabletop capacity, you may want to keep your eyes open for the reskinned classic.

Do you remember back in 2007, there was a card game released by Robot Martini named Get Bit? Players had to escape the predatory clutches of a shark, causing a human frenzy between 2-5 players competing to stay alive and survive the tank of an eating machine. Get Bit is now getting a fresh edition, and it is heading over to Kickstarter on the 17th August, with a few tweaks, additions and modernized artwork from Greater Than Games. 

Space Invaders was a defining game of my childhood. Heading out to the arcade to take down all of the ships, discs and aliens that wish to make their way to the bottom of my screen. After years of success, the game has been reworked, upgraded, and translated to other digital platforms to keep the space hype alive. Now Space Invaders will be heading onto the tabletop in a new dexterity board game, simply entitled Space Invaders from Buffalo Games. 

"Speak Friend and Enter", is a phrase in which isn't often used in the day-to-day. And rarely am I provided with a word game, that is collaborating within a fantasy universe to be able to riddle my way through portals and doorways! Mystic Paths from R&R Games is set to come out this August, after being announced at early stages this year and players will need to finesse their way through blocked portals, by simply using the power of communication and strategy and of course... a lot of magic. 

It's time for me to dig out Zombicide Green Horde, as a new and challenging scenario is free to download on the CMON website, immersing players into the Plaguelands. Attempting to put halt to the spread of the Zombie plague, taking those Necromancers down and sending bodies off into peace, to avoid future conflict from the undead.
