The Stormbird does exactly what it says in the tin, a whirlwind all wrapped up in gruesome lightning - a horror with wings boasting to be the biggest aerial threat within the whole universe. This threat cannot be ignored - and only worthy champions and hunters are skilled enough for the brutal takedown.

Stormbird Miniature // Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game - Stormbird Expansion

Before we go into the details of the upcoming expansion, would you look at the size of that miniature!? As somebody who has taken down many a Stormbird digitally, I am delighted that Steamforged did not scale down the regal finesse of this incredibly dangerous aerial threat - and would look fantastic as part of a diorama or display.

The Stormbird is a predator that you can usually hear before you see. And this beast might be a King of the skies, but to bring that trophy back to the Hunters' Lodge, players are going to need to get a grip of it first! Now isn't it lucky that this mammoth bird must land once every so often, and there is the chance for players to make their move and prove worthy to their peers by catching the infamous Stormbird.

Whether players be fighting the mammoth bird in the air or on foot - this beast is sure to keep them on their toes with different attack stances to diversify the playstyle, both with different rules whether in combat aerially on grounded. Utilising wind, and a shocking display of electricity - the Stormbird will need tactics and strategy for a well-deserved takedown.

If you are looking for a new enemy to take down as part of your Horizon Zero Dawn Board Game experience, keep your eyes peeled for more information on the pre-order date and release date. Where players can add the Stormbird to their collection of mechanical beasts, including the Thunderjaw, Watchers and Longlegs.

What Horizon Zero Dawn creature would you like to see being added to the game?
