Azul was quite the hit back when it was released in 2017 and it has spawned all manner of sequels and spin-offs. But, what if you wanted to play Azul on the move and you didn't want to try and shove that big box into your luggage? Well, that's where Azul Mini comes in!

Azul Mini - Next Move Games

Azul Mini // Next Move Games

Azul Mini has been designed by Next Move Games for taking away with you on holiday. It comes with smaller tiles and additional components so it can fit on smaller surfaces, a train table perhaps, plus you get a new overlay for your player boards so the tiles and other bits and bobs won't shuffle around.

If your family really likes Azul, I could see this being a pretty darn good pick when it releases in Spring. Being able to take a game like this away when you travel to conventions, go camping or just head off for a weekend away seems like a good shout. I often leave behind board games because they're just too bulky to take away to play with my partner.

A niche release for sure but one that I reckon a lot more people are going to snap up than you'd expect. If you've not played Azul, it's a proper fun puzzle. Each turn you'll be taking tiles from the central play area and trying to fit them into patterns on your board to score the most points. The twist is that you're also trying to make sure your opponents don't get the tiles the want from the middle or are forced to take tiles that make their life a living (if colourful) hell.

Could you be tempted by a travel copy of Azul?
