It probably never happen but as your now selling tickets for this online is there any protection to stop one person buying all 20 tickets and selling on the tickets to others at different prices

Fair play @warzan throwing that Batman box around with one hand – I had a look at one at Salute and I needed both of my skinny wrists to pick it up, it’s quite a slab!
I was quite tempted. I think it’s a great move for the game as an entry point. I’ve always loved the models but always got stuck force building to decide what to buy. This box looks perfect as a starter.
DAMN IT! I am free on holiday the Friday to Sunday, I have NI accommodation and the wife, child and dog will also be taken care of, but I have no way of picking up the boy from my parents in Berkshire and then drive over to NI in time… it’s a good job i am resisting WW2 for a while (other than than what a tanker) or i’d have to holiday with the in-laws and I would be happy about it (to begin with!)

The idea of Game Design Courses is amazing. A way to vent some inspiration, and having people playtest games is great for both the aspiring designers and the players.
I was planning to ignore CoreBall because there have been quite a few sci-fi sports that came out the last 5-6 years, but after seeing this, I just can’t. The CoreBall minis look great, and the art is out of this world. The minis reminded of models from Warframe, which is always a good thing.
And as always, thank you for being so awesome.

The Dark Knight Rises is an awesome box. Knight Models keeps getting better, there is also a new Joker expansion announced. Those clowns look great. And the Heath Ledger Joker looks better then the metal version, his head looks to be more in size with the rest of his body.
Really enjoy painting the batman miniatures. Great stuff.

If I remember correctly from building a box of Perry’s 8th Army, the instructions tell you how to divide the models into their squads and what equipment each squad has and the different support options.

I’ve been really interested in the Batman miniatures game for ages, but haven’t got around to taking the plunge. The sculpts are amazing and as a massive fan of the Arkham video games, I think they’ve do a cracking job of bringing the replicating the look. If you were to host a Batman weekend, I’d be all over that!!

Going to have to get that batman set (if you guys don’t pick me….) he’s my 9 year old daughters favorite. It will be a perfect introduction to dads addiction to skirmish gaming and mini painting lol. Do they do those boot camps in the U.S. Ever? I want to go to one so bad just don’t have the means to jump the pond.

The CAD designs are getting better and better. Even Infinity changed to CAD designs. It looks great. Only with chainmail on miniatures it looks a bit to clean.

I’m hyped for the Batman miniature release. Knight Models have fantastic sculpts and that Bane model looks amazing.
I was put off Monolith’s Batman game because I didn’t rate their sculpts, but Knight Models’ ones are lovely. I got my son some of their Harry Potter minis for Christmas and they’ve been a great intro into the hobby for him. Not to mention a good father/son bonding experience. We’ve both really loved the quality of them and we found them a joy to paint. They’re a little more expensive than most, but they’re resin so I don’t mind that, and well worth checking out
Batman changed a lot since I was kid… on TV and cinema anyway…
Will there ever be Knight Models version of Adam West and Burt Ward?
there was a Adam West no Boy Wonder, but he was retired. He was the first edition sculpt in metal so you may still find him out there.
I hope he’ll come back, with Adam passing away the image rights may be a thing now and would require approval from his estate, but we can hope he’ll be resurrected along with a dashing mustachioed Clown Prince of Crime!!

Stormtrooper Accuracy – I’m with Gerry; remember in ANH they let the heroes escape on purpose, in ESB Vader wanted them alive and had ordered the Falcon’s hyperdrive disables so wasn’t bothered if they got to it because they weren’t supposed to be able to escape in it and in RotJ both R2 and Leia get shot. Now also remember in ANH the Rebel troopers on Leia’s ship got massacred, as did the ones on Hoth in ESB and the Ewoks took heavy casualties in RotJ. Also, remember prior to TPM, the Force was a mystical force (hem) acting on the entire universe nudging destiny and it was biased in favour of the heroes, so there was low level reality warping going on to protect them rather than stormtroopers being bad.
CGI cartoons – for me it’s got to be Beast Wars, especially as it was a sequel to the original Transformers rather than a replacement.
Ultraman – never seen the original but I do recommend you check the new one out Gerry. Animation takes a little getting used to, so fldobt be put off if you think it looks a bit off at first.

Clone Wars could be a cool addition if there’s rules to include them in the Rebellion, like having Separatist races as conscripts in the Imperial army or a lost droid army being reprogrammed by the Rebels.
The batman miniatures game has needed a proper jump in starter box for a while, this should give it the exposure it needs to become a top tier skirmish game.
The Batman starter set is a great idea and those minis though!

That dark knight set does look like a great set, am only hoping that the models are much better than their previous models. I’ve found them to be an absolute pain to assemble in the past
vast majority are single sculpt and the others are arms on and that’s it.

I kind of agree with Jerry about the souless characer of some CAD sculpts, but I think this kind of thing improves over time.
When games and comic book publishers (industries I know a little about) started demanding digital art because it was easier to maniplate, revise and design around, I saw the same thing. Several reasons coem to mind, for one, people start experimenting with the tools offered by software and not all experiments are successful, but also, a lot of people join the indstry because they know the software and not necesarily because they are artists, so they don’t have some of he basic skills that give life to graphic art (sketching, human form,etc). Over time, though, people devoloped their skills enough that the software was not as important and the artist vision showed up more, and then, things started to look better. I’m hoping this happens with miniature sculpture too.

nothing dense about it, I agree I think we’re a few years off the seamless blending of it, but I’ve spoken to people commissioning CAD designed stuff simply because it’s easier to manipulate

I don’t have any of the Batman minis from Knight Models but I do have all of the Harry Potter minis, (save a couple of exclusive minis that still elude me), so I can tell you that the sculpts that come out of Knight Models are ‘Outstanding’ to say the least. I wouldn’t mind have some of those Batman figures one of these days.
Dewbacks and Shoretroopers have my attention front and center! Can’t wait to get these into my collection. I think I’ve decided on about eight boxes of Shoretroopers and at least two Dewbacks.
As for what @lordofuzkulak wrote and Gerry ( @avernos) said about Empire Stormtroopers, spot on Sirs!
Since the release of ‘Star Wars: Legion’ I’ve thought that they really missed the boat by making the Stormtroopers bad shots. True they covered their tracks by saying that it’s not the troopers fault, that it’s the gun they’re using.
If so give us the option to equip our troopers with better weapons and up the dice probable hits.
Also, introduce a game mechanic that at certain points of a battle you roll a dice to see which side of the battle that the Force is favoring. The favored side get some form of bonus. Or go a step further and have it tuned down to just one or two units on the table. As they move around it seems that the Force is with them but all the other units are business as usual. The favored unit would slide in and out of trouble a bit easier. This would work the same for Light Side and Dark Side.
I’ll have to check out the ‘Taliban & British Releases’ of modern minis. The SITREP team might have to snag some of these and paint one or two for their Twitch channel maybe. (hint hint). I will be tuning in for the LIVE broardcast of the Faulklands Battle. The systems that their blending for that game sound very interesting.

As much as I enjoy the events coverage, it is so nice to be able to build some minis and paint while watching the weekender again.
So nice that knight miniatures now have a proper 2 player started sets out – hopefully it will let more people get into the batman game, and maybe even get me back into it (I played first edition a fair bit but haven’t tried 2nd ed yet since moving house. )
Thanks very much for the mention, @brennon. 😀 Yes, we’re hoping to have some great dogfight action in AirWar C21 live on Twitch and here in OTT. I’ve been building some additional aircraft types just to make sure we have the post possible options.
The is a game that really demands some advance planning from the player, positioning and arcs, air speed vs. attempted maneuvers, recovery of stalls, proper load out of ordinance, use of electronics, etc. And these Falkland scenarios really put the “burden of victory” on the British – they have far superior aircraft and especially missiles (The American AIM-9L Sidewinder was really the “silver bullet” for them” but they are always outnumbered and up against very serious victory conditions.
We’ll see how things go tomorrow. Hope to see some of you there!
that batman starter set looks awesome, however I do remember warren discussing when the batman game first came out doing a awesome dockland table that gradually filtered into a city table .Think considering how good this starter set looks perhaps its time you guys followed through on this to demo the starter set. The Clone Wars starter could be the temptress that pulls me into Legions. I thinks there is potentially far more scope for bigger battles with both side fielding a good range of weapons and vehicles.

I am absolutely envious of anyone/everyone who is able to make it to these awesome sounding Boot Camps. I do not have the biggest interest in history or historical war gaming, but the whole weekend just sounds awesome.
The prize up for grabs this week is phenomenal looking. This was the two-player starter that they should have introduced so long ago. Don’t get me wrong. The Suicide Squad set was fun (minus the Katana) and they’ve made some fantastic strides with their Batboxes (complete gang with special objects and scenarios), but this is the kind of set you make to get people into a game.
Now if only they’d get all of their rules into a single, hardcover collection.

Great show chaps and I am glad you mentioned the game I was involved in at Salute, The Tonkim War table. We won the best Presented Wargames Table award which I was chuffed about.

Another excellent Weekender, Perfect start to a Saturday morning!! 🙂 This game looks immense and the Models are stunning, Plus one of the best films ever! Perfect package. I admit to looking at this game a while ago when they had the Marvel figures but it was about the time they lost the Marvel licence and i kinda lost interest in it at that point. It always something i’ve meant to come back and look into as it looks like a really good game with some good mechanics. I have heroclix but i have never really liked the mechanics, This seems more tactical.
Loving the Perry Napoleonics, The concept of 3D space in CoreBall is very interesting. Knight models have always been amazing, the 2 player batman set is no exception:)
Great show again. Love the new starter set for Batman. Bane is definitely a favourite of mine in the game but I don’t have him yet so this looks like a great opportunity for me and our group.

Clone Wars definitely makes more sense as a wargaming setting. There’s more inspiration in terms of vehicles, troops and battles, and the battles were more evenly matched, unlike classic era where it was more infiltration based rather than mass battle as the rebellion didn’t have the manpower. However Classic era is a much bigger draw and as such makes more business sense as a starting point for the game.

The only SW film I’ve enjoyed since the originals was rogue one, based mainly on the rebel/shore trooper battle scenes. Couldn’t get exited about any other SW stuff apart from perhaps Ala goth re-enactment TBH.
The “stormtroopers can’t shoot” myth busting is one of the best things I’ve seen in ages. Mind slightly blown!

Great to see you guys back for the weekender, i haven’t been making many comments recently as i have been beta testing “Kards” a WW2 card game on steam, highly recommend people go check it out and join in.
Loving the Core Ball game and the minis they have produced, i have liked it more and more over the weeks you’ve been putting videos out about it and i think i may very well be tempted into backing it on kickstarter.
I would love to do the D-Day boot camp this year but it’s going to be out of my reach i think, which makes me very sad 🙁
as i would love the chance to repel those yankee doodles out of the Fatherland and back into the sea!!

I do agree about hand sculpted minis having more character ArcWorlde by Warploque are a great example. Batman game sounds very cool.
Yay! The weekender is back! Those Dark Knight models look amazing. I’m just finishing up my He-Man/Masters of the Universe minis, prompted by a chance comment on one of the forums and really enjoyed just getting back into painting miniatures. Even if I didn’t win them, I’d be sorely tempted to get some Batman minis, just for the joy of painting them. But winning them would be even sweeter…… 😉

Finally BMG gets a proper and solid 2 player starter! Suicide Squad set was good models, but not a good starter set. Looks like KM have learned a few lessons this time around. 🙂
That starter would go well with the new release Heath Ledger Joker too.

Really good box from Knight Models – great to include the map and terrain – perfect and up there with what Corvus Beli has done with the Infinity stuff too.
Be nice to see what the Resin is like – I hope it’s a bit more durable than their Harry Potter stuff as that’s a big box for the pieces to be rattling around in!.

Batman Miniatures Game is not only a WONDERFUL range of minis, they also got a fun and easy to learn ruleset. I have never felt a ruleset so cinematic, miniatures doing exactly what you would expect from them if you were seeing a Batman movie or reading a comic… when you use cops, you will hide and shoot and take cover, when you use Batman, it will jump, and fall from a Building… they will do what they are suposed to do simply because it will be the best way to act in this game… that’s SO amazing…
Had a blast at the last Bolt Action bootcamp, but unfortunately I can’t make it this time. Prepare for a great time if you’re going.
Absolutely adore BMG. Sadly no one else at my club has dived in yet. This two player starter set is going on the must buy list for the club.

I love Near and Far and would love to love Roam but… the game play just doesn’t sound up my street. Hopefully there’ll be another game set in the same universe some time which will give me the opportunity to see more of it!

Patiently waiting for Batman: Gothan City Chronicles. Seriously, not a gripe, not a rage, patience is a virtue! I’m curious as to a compare/contrast of B:GCC & Batman: The Miniatures Game. Maybe a good deal for a future feature. Assuming I’m not oh so very late & this is an altogether unoriginal idea, of course.
& Stormtroopers on Dewbacks are Sandtroopers. 😉 & if I’m too lil, too late in this as welll…

Oh & great job on the Stormtroopers are actually good shots. So many get that oh so very wrong.
& to expand on it, all the main characters are at least Force Sensitive, if not fully Force users. So they are confounding to enemies, even if they aren’t trying/actually aware of it.
Ya know, like a blind swordsman walking through a full on & all out firefight?
