I love seeing Mando and Baby Yoda. I played WotC Star Wars minis growing up. Would love to see Legion expanded into all eras of star wars like WotC did.

I like how the Raging Heroes release has some very on the nose Mechanicum models, but then some much more human/steampunk. Perfect for a pre-heresy colony I would say! Now, where are those bricks and pliers…..

I will try my best to watch the Saturday Morning OTT gaming with @johnlyons two handcrafted world class armies. Of course I am going to our local ‘Smallville Comicom’ Saturday and Sunday so don’t know how much I can watch before having to hustle on down to the comicon. (Life size A-wing, Tie Fighter, and two Batmobiles a 1966 version and a version from the Batmobile from Batman the Animated Series. Plus comic book artist and writers and some actors).
With regard to Atomic Mass Games future release of the Classic Captain America and OG Human Torch, I believe that this is the beginning of ‘the Invaders’ from the 1940’s I believe. So if I’m correct then we will see Namor as well.

It wouldn’t be that difficult to game in the period before the Horus Heresy. There are enough books that mention the types of alien races they encounter and you already know that the Eldar, Necrons and Orks are there, you could even use them in the Horus Heresy period as I can’t imaging them sitting on their backside.

Glad to see everyone seems recovered. Nice pick for indi of the week, very timely look at rogue trader inspired alternative sculpts and bits.
Horus Heresy confuses me as a rules set. Isn’t it 7th ed rehashed? I didn’t play back then, but if 7th ed is still a good rules set then why did they make an 8th ed? Is it actually a significantly different game to play, or is it just going to feel like 40k with different factions?
pretty much 7th with tweaks, and the only reason 8th came out was to force people to buy new rules, books, and new things for their armies umpteen editions isn’t always a good thing.
The constant edition changes is off-putting, especially when they make players wait years, even editions before their army gets their stats updated. One day I’d like to see GW treat their games and their players with respect. Each new iteration I hope will be the one to do it. It’s possible HH will be the game they set up and just tweak, making it the gamers game and keeping 40k as the mass appeal constant churning cash cow. We can but hope, even if we know it won’t work out that way. At least it sounds like you thought 7th ed was one of their better editions?

The Conquest, The Early Medieval Rules for Barons’ War, are out now and have been for a while. You do need a copy of Barons’ War to play Conquest and Conquest is a supplement.
The Welsh are lovely and most are Early Medieval and you can use them as Allies in the Barons’ War, but in general the Welsh did not fight in the Barons’ War but the Barons’ War rules can be used for campaigns in Wales
Ahsoka would be a good addition to Legion as she exists in multiple eras… Clone Wars, Rebels and after Endor.

@warzan Gaming in the Great Crusade is an even better idea than the Horus Heresy! Quite honestly the more I think about it the better that idea gets. That would really open up the 30K universe. The canon is that there were thousands of alien races that the Great Crusade encountered (and exterminated) including highly advanced human ones (using STC that the empire had not yet got). It really would make for unlimited gaming!
