Awseome show
What do I like about Aventine?…Everything.
Warren’s joy with the Cult Radio is just magical here. You’ve convinced me @warzan to rejoin as soon as I’m able! (Though when I was last in it it wasn’t a cult…)
To put ancient history into … some sort of perspective, Julius Caesar is closer to the iPhone to the Great Pyramid.
Wow
With the beginning of The Sumerian civilisation 2000 years before the Great Pyramid was built
Happy weekend everybody
yay let the weekender sananigans begin.
Played the original PnP version of 9 card Mini Rogue a few years back, glad to support them now on Kickstarter!
ive not heard the radio show yet its getting the time to hear the show.
The book Roma by Stephen Saylor is a good book as it takes a fictional family and tracks their progress through the ages of Rone
Not enough Star Wars Legion here… and not enough Fallout Wasteland Warfare…. and NO BATTLETECH!
White zombie was Rob zombie band before his solo career. Man that takes me back. I was listening to them during my university years.
Rome was roaming all over Europe for ages.
Yes, it’s the Weekender!
It’s the Weekender!
It’s hot here in Kansas, (mid and to upper 90’s Fahrenheit) so I’m ready to handout with Hobby’s Coolest Hosts. ??
I somehow forgot to check in Wednesday for the Cult Radio Show. I’m glad there is a recap/replay show so I can enjoy too!
Well, ‘Aventine Miniatures’ has now been added to my list of Miniatures Providers that I need to shop at. I do believe I need more ‘Metal Spears’ for my Clash of Spears armies. I started with one hundred and twenty and I’m all out. Time to place another order.
Just now started listening to ‘CultRadioEp001’ and I have to say, “I’m sad that I missed this live”. I’ve got to put this on my list of things to do for next Wednesday!
Really well done @warzan
I have been waiting for more races to be added to Aeronautica for a while and to be honest I wanted Chaos as that is what I used to field in the previous release but those Tau aircraft are lovely so I think I will be picking them up!
Not sure I can resist buying some of Aventines Galatians/Celts to mix into my Celtic warband… or some Samnite cavalry, they are really lovely!
a flange is that not beavers @warzan ?
gorillas
Happy weekend to all.
the legend of signum figures an terrain look fantastic painted up.
nice one as ever Guys.
If you hadn’t noticed…
It;s the Weekend again!
After my den was taken over by stuff being moved about the house for the last couple of weeks I’ve barely been able to get in to do any hobby. Finally cleared a path in again… i seem to recall 15 almpst finished T64 Soviet tanks somewhere…
Happy friday evening, is it me or has Warren gone all Smashie & Nicey from the radio…”its for charity mate”
Another great show chaps, have shared the YouTube version.
Love the TT Combat bears…
I need another game so I can print out more terrain for it. I suppose I could print out clouds.
**In the best Roman accent available from Life of Brian** Walwai Whyding Waidews?! Whatevah will we do? Summon my fwends fwom Gweebo Games!
Pah! A little rough on the brain but you get the point. Here’s some death by cuteness that will slay Gentle Ben for his lack of Burrows & Badgers and The Girthy One from a mindmelter as Blood Bowl meets brutally adorable.
Greebo Games – https://www.greebo-games.com/189-cutiemals
Thanks for the show. Looking forward to Sunday.
The weekend starts here
& Warren is back in da house
Very nice.
Bugger, was hoping you would do a little bit of a look at the aeronautica Tau. And was it just me or was the show a little more ordered and shorter than last weeks wild sojourn. Could it be that Warren is actually the responsible one ???
Don’t get me wrong, last week was a barrel of laughs.
Jus a sec… is that a Lehman Walrus?
Ah, the Weekender. It’s Friday and I see da-plane!
I am scared to ask what other weird things the little folk can ride. But the walruses are awesome and funny.
Aeronautica: I feel the need … the need for speed!
It is white zombie..and yes.. Rob Zombie was a member.
so your both right
Morning all. Good show guys
love the the walrus riders.
would love to see a seal elephant with Howdah and crew.
think that would look amazing.
“Goo goo g’joob!” I seriously need to start a Halfling army soon…
Happy weekender everyone ?
Walrus riders are so good!
The walrus cavalry charge must be like the steamroller scene in Austin Powers! Oh and turning one around would be like another scene in Austin Powers!

https://youtu.be/aULRhgG_Az8
Great show and good start to the weekend as always ??
Wow, some new Gangs of Rome!
Aeronautica Imperialis would be cool on my “to play list”!
The weekend is on! Thanks for the show, guys!
Cheers!
I’ll definitely be picking up some of the Frostgrave terrain. Loving the Halfling walrus riders, just need to think of a justification for them now 🙂
Happy weekend all!
Great show to start the weekend off!
The radio show was excellent, sadly my world of warcraft commitments dont allow me to listen live, but really enjoyed the catch up the following day!
Also @warzan rob zombie’s White Zombie more human than human is excellent, I do recommend listening to “Superbeast” too, Zombie has some really cool songs out there!
See you Sunday for more hobby time!
Walrus cavalry…. the insanity
awesome prize again
great show guys thanks
Well, those manubalistae were a great find. I’m straight in there for a couple of blisters! Great find!
Happy Weekend
Halflings on Walruses for the win! Great show as ever, thanks guys.
I need those walruses!
Another Great Weekender Guys. Lots of cool new miniatures and the discussion of the Romans makes me want to build a army. Who doesn’t love some Halflings and War Bears, I would love to see some Halflings riding the War Bears into Battle!
Good show as always.
And as always, more models I shouldn’t be buying!
The new Frostgrave terrain is really cool! Looking forward to getting the second edition rules. Also looking forward for the new Blackstone Fortress expansion. Great show all around guys!
Hell yeah, weekender time!
Aventine miniatures look great and well worth some consideration for more things to put on a shelf for later.
Splendid walrus riders 😛
Those halflings need to be licensed for use in AoS.
The bears are very cool…
But walrus… unless you’re fighting on water they will be the slowest cavalry ever… slower than the little buggers riding them and that’s slow enough.
Awesome show as always! Your enthusiasm for the hobby is the best way to kick off the weekend!
Happy weekend!
Gangs of Rome is a wonderful game, a great range of fighters, dominus and the mod.
The HBO/BBC series is amazing, but you want to watch the BBC version and not the Netflix’s HBO clearer version @avernos and @warzan.
@avernos if you want post all you Rome buildings to me and I will get them painted for you.
Great show. Reach for the Sky.
Cheers guys!
Between these and what is coming in Mantic’s League of Infamy I’m vaguely tempted to start a halfling army. For reasons.
Happy Weekend!
Aventine miniatures are stunning. Admitedly I got to wonder about Clash of Spears versus Saga.
Will have to get back into the unoficial weekender next week, still working along a lot of stuff. got in the trap once again to work on two big project at ones and Team Yankee kinda stalled.
Also I wouldn’t mind to get a mutunus-tutunus with legs 😀
Wouldn’t it be epic if there was a Version of the Leman Russ Tank with two spikes on the front called Wal Russ 🙂
Love the show guys. I watch it while I paint my flames of war army. Never done any 40k….would love a shot at that starter set. Whats Justin been up to?
Every time I leave GW, they drag me back in. Everything I see about 9th Edition interests me.
Lots of good info in this show. Altough I’m not into ancient wargaming the Aventine miniatures do look really nice.
HAPPY WEEKEND
I had a “Spring Cleaning Challenge” I had planned on making but the last couple of months have put me into a real creative funk. I ended up buying more models and games as opposed to finishing or starting the ones I already have.
Walruses and Elephants? Not sure if this should have a guest appearance by David Attenborough
Great show guys!
See you on XLBS!
Good show guys.
Those Aventine miniatures are just awesome. They may make me look at getting into ancients.
Nice show
If you’re not sure, it’s always a gaggle….. I do really like those walruses and may want a halfling army now.
must give this pirate radio a go
Good show!
Areonautica Imperialis… yes please!
In for the win
Wouldn’t mind giving Aeronautica a go. Wonder if they’ll include all races as would like to see Nids.
Very Belated Happy Weekender All I’m so late I almost made the next episode early. Hope you all are grand and enjoying your hobby time ? The Beowulf Age of Hero’s Kickstarter is just lovely to see, cracking stuff
