Keeping on top of the Age Of Sigmar previews for the upcoming Ossiarch Bonereapers, Games Workshop has shown off two new units which will be coming to this force manifested into life by the power of Nagash. We all know that they love reaping bones and that's where the Gothizzar Harvester comes in...

Gothizzar Harvester #1 - Games Workshop

This strange creation of metal and bone is used to reap the bodies of the dead from the battlefield and then use their skeletons to create new creatures to serve under the Ossiarch banner. If you were in any doubt as to the Khemri/Necrontyr themes running through the range I would imagine this has somewhat convinced you. This is a little bit hard to get your head around at first as a model as it is very, very top-heavy.

Gothizzar Harvester #2 - Games Workshop

Most of the back of the model is made up of this frankly rather creepy carnal 'wagon' where the bones of the dead are stored. A small fellow situated around the middle of the creature is feeding the bones into it from below whilst up top, we have the monstrous beast with its snapping jaws and arms crafted into living weapons. You can see it a bit easier here in this front shot...

Gothizzar Harvester #3 - Games Workshop

I think this is possibly one of the creepiest pieces that Games Workshop have ever done. It doesn't look so top heavy from down here but it still feels like it isn't quite right. I think that level of uncanny feeds into the model as a whole though and it should have your enemies looking a little worried! I find the little fellow slung below the beast to be the funniest element of this...chattering away as he picks up bones and avoids the fighting.

Massively Old

As well as those large constructs we also have the Immortis Guard who are wading into battle with their deadly magic weapons.

Immortis Guard - Games Workshop

Crafted from the bodies of the finest warriors and gifted the souls of many too, these Immortis Guard are some of the deadliest warriors in the Ossiarch Bonereaper army. You could imagine these fellows flanking your characters and making sure they get into the thick of battle.

Both of these new releases are, for me at least, pretty interesting because they provide gamers with a larger than life force which should be pretty darn easy to paint using the new Contrast paints. The bone should come together really easily and then you just have to paint in the details for the armour and weapons...you'll have a force done in not time.

To get an idea of scale, Games Workshop also showed off this larger image of the army arrayed on the battlefield.

You can see a few more sneaky peeks at what's coming here too. You have what appear to be two spellcasters, one on the far right and one down in the bottom left. At the back, you have what looks to be Arkhan The Black but down below him, raised up on the steps, if a new mounted character I'm not sure we've seen before.

I wonder if we're going to be seeing that new skeletal scenery making its way to the tabletop too?

What do you make of the new Ossiarch Bonereaper previews?
