A New Hero For Arnor & The Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game

Games Workshop has revealed another new miniature for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. The lands of Arnor are getting more love with the addition of Argadir, Captain Of Arnor.

Argadir is a veteran of the war against Angmar and serves as one of King Arvedui’s most trusted captains. He is a skilled rider, master tactician and reliable fighter. The set will come with what looks to be a pair of Forge World resin miniatures both on-foot and mounted. I am already liking the look of the miniatures, especially the on-foot version.
When it comes to Argadir in battle, he is clad in heavy armour and uses a shield giving him a Defence of seven. This, combined with his Fight of five and two Attacks means that he is going to be a deadly foe for the forces of Evil under the sway of the Witch-King.
He also comes with the Master Of Battle special ability which allows him to copy the Heroic Actions of nearby allies and some enemies so he can counterattack and push back against oncoming foes.
Another teaser was also shared which seemed to reveal a fluttering banner for the forces of Evil. I reckon that the new miniature is going to be a new Orc Banner Bearer for your Angmar forces.

Love the mini and love the attention to the game. Looks like the new Sourcebook is going to expand Arnor which it desperately needs. Hopefully Angmar, already a top tier army, doesn’t just get an insta win unit.
MESBG has probably the best 3D Printing community as well and Medbury has a full Arnor Range along with minis for the new Knights (even before the actual minis release).
The design for the LOTR range seems to me far more detailed and thought out than the other GW efforts of late
