Wookiee Warriors & Yoda Coming Soon To Star Wars: Legion

Atomic Mass Games has been previewing more of the miniatures coming to Star Wars: Legion in the near future. The battle for Kashyyyk is raging with Wookiees joining forces with Jedi Master Yoda to try to stop the advance of Separatist forces.

This new Wookiee Warriors expansion adds to the options already available for both Rebel and Republic forces in Star Wars: Legion. It sits alongside the existing set but with fancy new sculpts which are nice to see painted up above.

The new miniatures can be armed with melee weapons for getting up close and personal or you can give them the X1 Carbines which allow them to tackle their foes at a little more range. Nothing beats a Bowcaster though right?
Wookiee Warriors Card // Star Wars: Legion
They are still able to run through the wilds of your tabletop and hunt down foes in hard to reach places which is neat to see. They also come with a healthy pool of wounds meaning that they are going to be pretty handy when holding objectives, especially with the Indomitable special rule too.
Wisdom Of The Jedi
As well as the Wookiees, you'll also be able to call on the power of Jedi Master Yoda. He gets a set that allows you to make two different takes on the diminutive-yet-deadly Jedi.

The Republic will be able to call on Yoda to help them take on the Separatist threat. I do really like the version of him with a lightsaber at the ready but the version of him channelling the force is probably my favourite. Admittedly, the other version of him is better for use in a battle.
Yoda Card // Star Wars: Legion
Not only is Yoda damn good with his lightsaber but he also has that immensely powerful Force Wave ability too. I would love to see him send a whole squad of droids flying with that as he makes way for his allies.
At 200 points, he isn't exactly cheap but if you're looking to make a themed force then he would be very handy. I am very eager to play more games of Star Wars: Legion in the future and I could see myself picking up both of these packs, even if Yoda is designed for the Republic era.
Yoda is releasing 27th August and I would imagine the Wookiees aren't far behind.

Yoda on the left is doing the Columbo “just one more thing” move. Star Wars whodunnit? Done it who?
Well there was that episode where Columbo solved a murder connected to a man who painted Civil War miniatures, and the episode ended on a shot of a Columbo miniature on the killer’s gaming table!

nice expansion for legion, so will get a box but hesitant, there are clankers coming soon so…..
Honestly these are must buys for me!
Couple of points on the Wookie box. It is dual faction and is a replacement for the existing rebel Wookie warriors set. Once the old set sells out it is gone.
Secondly, the new set contains three special weapon options (including bowcaster) and a card for a Wookie Chieftain commander who can build from the set.
Also, Yoda is coming with a unit and command card to use the existing Chewbacca in a Republic army.
