Raybox Games are going to be taking to Gamefound soon with a new game that uses their Paths Unknown system. The Cats Of Mont Saint Michel has you diving into an adventure in revolutionary France as you battle the Red Crimson Cardinal. The twist is you're lovely felines and your enemies are dastardly rats!

The Cats Of Mont Saint Michel can be played solo or with three other players where you'll be diving into the scenario book and exploring where your adventure takes you. Games are played out over the scenario book but you'll also then have to deal with options as to which path you take next. This all comes together into a linked set of scenarios that create your ongoing story.

Like any good campaign-based game, The Cats Of Mont Saint Michel will feature ways for you to enhance your heroes as you go from adventure to adventure. Additionally, there is replay value in the way that you can choose different paths each time you sit down to play.

Like other games by Raybox, The Cats Of Mont Saint Michel can be set up and played very quickly making it much less of a chore to set up and dive into when compared to mammoths (admittedly awesome mammoths) like Frosthaven.

I also like that we're going to be getting some awesome cat and rat miniatures for the game although I bet they'll do the standees if you'd prefer to go down that route. I am very intrigued to see where this game goes when it hits crowdfunding proper and it might find its way into my collection.

The cover art is also stunning and captures the look of a classic Fantasy book or TV show and I hope that continues throughout the rest of the components for the game.

Will you be checking this game out?
