In this set, the fighting returns to the cursed city of Shadespire which was the original setting for Warhammer Underworlds. Everything in the set is there to get you started in the game with two old warbands returning alongside an updated Rulebook, Learn To Play Booklet, Cards, Tokens and more.

In the case of the first Starter Set for Warhammer Underworlds, this set should end up coming in at a much lower entry cost compared to the regular seasonal content by Games Workshop. Because of that, it's well worth considering this if you've been tempted by Warhammer Age Of Sigmar but don't fancy buying a big army or having to paint many miniatures. You can even split this with a friend and make them your nemesis!

...but the set also comes with two Rivals Decks for the returning warbands. These Rivals Decks require no deckbuilding and you simply have to sit down and start playing once you've assembled the miniatures. The Rivals Decks are a great addition to the Warhammer Underworlds format and make it more approachable than ever. Because they are competitively balanced as well, it should mean you don't get trounced every time you come to the tabletop.
