didn’t peg you for a Trumper. Go Team US
How often do you get to watch the manifestation of a countries id?
And in the time it took to type… one of the locals appeared first.
Its because they all live quite close to HQ so there messages take less time to get there. Gerry could start typing his message 3 or 4 minutes after you start and his would still appear first
It was up for 4 minutes before I bothered. I assumed no one was watching
I wasn’t so much watching as passing by when I noticed.
It’s the difference between being a stalker and being observant.
Love the Stoessi’s Heroes mini’s. They are amazingly detailed. Wow deja vu.
They are very nice – lots of character and the real-life element makes them more compelling indeed.
They will make a great addition to Bolt Action forces. I have seen the Band of Brothers figures (finished watching the series again last night) and seriously contemplating getting some US Para minis, which these would make a great addition. Might have to start saving my pennies.
happy weekender.
Happy Friday all ?
Very much looking forward to the Hel Lets Play everything I’ve seen so far points to some pretty absorbing gameplay.
I enjoyed the game despite it being made out of digital
That’s good to hear ?
Yeah it seems awesome from a read of the rules and chat of gameplay.
It’s the Weekend!
Today has completely f**ked up my sense of what day it is… others in the UK will understand!
I’ve finally got myself out of my hobby funk, and I have to say that recording progress in an OTT project has helped me to recognise the value of what I’m doing for myself – and if anyone else finds it interesting then that’s even better!
Glad to see you out of the hobby funk!
“Stoessi’s Heroes”, what a cracking range of figures!
They are lovely! I have some firm favourites from the Soviet collection
Some really interesting sculpts from all the companies shown.
Love Stoessi’s. They most certainly have an awesome selection.
Nice going Shieldwolf Miniatures. Can’t back but will buy.
I applaud you as a person of taste and culture… Cpt. Justi Ueki Tylor FTW
Really enjoyed the show! Those Stoessi’s Heroes are great minis, I have spent a lot of time longingly drooling over their website. Lots of nice toy in the news, those German Paras look grand!
The Shieldwolf stuff really does nothing for me – if I wanted to do not 40k, it wouldn’t be this
With the horses all I could think of was Col Bravestar
I must admit, I’m not a big fan of the miniatures either but it’s always good to see alternative Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum
Thanks for the show. Looking forward to Sunday!
Awesome ww2 hero’s great show guys
I look forward to your Weekender every week.
Stoessi’s Heroes mini’s look fabulous! I want some!!!
a great fun show guys.
Like the Bridge to Far minis that Stoessi’s heroes do,and the Band of Brothers set they have.
I love the camp commander and nco from hogans heroes. That’s a show I’ve not seen in years
They would make nice figures to use on the board game Escape from Colditz, must admit I’ve not seen the show since I was young
Super impressed with the Stoessis Heroes range. So many great minis with outstanding stories. Nancy Wake, the French resistance mini you looked at, has one of the most amazing stories. The bicycle ride with the bag of onions being just one. Otto Skorzeny, he was just crazy. Then you have Klink and Schultz that look amazing!
Otto ended up living in Ireland as a farmer.
Oh oh oh! The detail of the doggos.. I die… Jorik’s IS SO FLUFFY!!!!
Haha, bonus points for fluffy
Hel has some interesting looking figures.
It’s the Weekender…. “and then there were three!” ?
(hopefully there are some reinforcements waiting just off the table to come in with the next lucky roll of the dice)
I can’t wait for those “Crisis Protocol” releases to be available. It’s like dangling candy in front of a fat kid at a birthday party and then saying, “but you’ll have to wait a few months”.
I do want the “Samurai Teahouse” from 3DAlienWorlds. Great looking collection they’ve got built up there.
I could see using those “Imperium Immortalis” for my DUST Germans. Anyone else remember DUST? ??
Yeah, Crisis Protocol models always have me interested!
I’ve missed a lot of shows recently but managed to sit down and paint while listening along. Took me back to a nice place. Now looking forward to Sundays hopefully be able to finish some minis at the same time
Good stuff – always happy to be on in the background whilst folks hobby.
Great show, gentlemen. I do believe my Victorian guardsmen and their scouts and Broolian beastmen from Victoria Miniatures have found an opponent to fight for the mineral rights to the desert world they are posted on.
Sounds like a good idea!
Loved the goblins. So much character in the sculpts. The facial expressions are priceless.
I do love the sculpting by Warploque – the faces do make it!
Those German miniatures are amazing.
Makes me want to dust off my bolt action.
Dust them off!
Dust off my bolt action!!!
Sounds like a carry on line 🙂
Thank goodness! Another weekender has arrived!!
Disappointed the guys are still stuck in the past telling us a figure is 95mm (whatever that is) high. Can you please use the new banana measuring scale so we know what your talking about please
I shall have to go and get the standard reference banana
Good to see Lloyd taking time out from his Zumba class to film the weekender. I think we all appreciate it
He was very sweaty when he first arrived
great show lads, even with out warren
Stoessi’s Heroes minis have always looked awesome and their periodic releases have been a highlight for me on various weekenders over the years. Great weekender.
Relieved to hear that HEL: The Last Saga is not about the Helsinki airport.
@lloyd my dear boy, one doesn’t carry one’s own longbow into battle, one has a batman for that.
Fun show again – good to have on while tackling my pile of unpainted Gauls. Loved the Stoessi’s Heroes figures.
Day 57 of quarantine. But we’ve reached another weekend!
Hello and happy weekend to everyone! 😀
Good show guys. The bit appreciated the most was birthday boy, sorry, solar rotation boy, being missing to rant at the game needing an app. ?.
Also nice to see lock down Cosplay is alive and well. @lloyd ‘s Hulk Hogan is coming along nicely. Seeing @avernos finally crack up was worth it all.
Also for Lloyd, if it was the creepy Eastern European bird lady, was it stop go animation? In the style of Hieronymous Bosche? Spelling police don’t shoot me. If it’s the one I’m thinking of them it was to do with the tooth fairy if it helps your search.
Winning WW II Germans is kind of weird….. as a German…. is that some sort of inheritance? 😉
Yes, a proper bequeathment
I’m not going to lie: I had to look that word up. XD
Stoessi’s Heroes are fantastic minis. I have the Rasputin miniature that you took a brief look at whilst browsing. He is from the Corto Maltese graphic novels. He is the perfect size to work with the Copplestone Back of Beyond and Founsry DA ranges where you can find Corto himself and suitable adversaries. I’m loving Indie of the week. So many amazing small companies out there.
How many KS games have Mythic completed but havent yet delivered and fixed all the issues with, and yet here they are staring another they will lose interest in as soon as the KS ends.
From a peek on Kickstarter on Steamwatchers…
Reichbusters has started arriving in some of the hubs and in other areas it is stil on the boat, so it will be delivered to our backers very soon.
Super Fantasy Brawl is currently printing, and it is expected to be completed in April 2020.
Solomon Kane Wave 1 is also going to print right after SFB, which in turn means that it will start delivery late Q2. Wave 2 is also going to be delivered later this year, as its development is going smoothly.
Lastly Joan of Arc 1.5 is also moving along very well, and we are on schedule. The estimation for the start of delivery of the project is October 2020.
Enchanters: EastQuest will also be delivered this year. We aim delivery to start September 2020.
Obviously, all of this has been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
Its not just whats out there, its that they appear to stop caring about a game the moment the KS ends and they move on to the next KS. Take Reichbusters (RB) for example as its the one I’m waiting on. They delayed releasing it for some time as they wanted to put extra polish on it. Great. I can get behind that. Except from what I’m hearing, the rules are badly written and full of mistakes. The boxes are mispacked with double some of the french stuff and some of the enlgish stuff is missing. Stat cards are wrong. Some minis are wrong or just broken, and the quality of sculpts and their clean up varies wildly between boxes. I backed it on the idea of the campaign, and now I’m hearing that its little more than a long tutorial. Everything feels rushed and half arsed. And thats ignoring the current delivery delays, which I’m blaming on Meeple Logistics. They have been refusing to deliver outside of france saying there are no international deliveries at the moment. Meanwhile everyone is receiving international deliveries, even from france. If they don’t want to deliver and put their employees at risk thats great, I support that. Just say that. What they have been doing is outright lying to us and presumably to Mythic. it’s the lying and the not knowing that’s the issue.
I also have Mythic Battle Pantheon on my shelf. I haven’t played it much, but on the whole it seems like the big box of KS extras are just stuff. The main box has missions and what it laughably calls campaigns, and Pandoras Box (of KS extras) has nothing. Just models with stat cards. Just stuff. Reading through the main box missions they all feel a little hollow, like an afterthought. it all leads me to fear Mythic come up with a core idea and then don’t really develop it. They just overwhelm their customers with exra stuff and cool minis and pretend that box contents is “content”, when it isn’t. A good game is more than a long list of components.
Then I check the RB KS every day to see if anyone has heard anything about deliveries starting and I’m always reminded that JoA had a KS for v1.5 on day 1, that Solomon Kane is massively late, that people are still waiting on JoA. All in all, there is a lot of upset amongst their customer base and a lot of people who say they wpon’t be backing them again. For the record, I want RB to tutn up and I want it to be awesome. Despite the faults I am hearing the game is good. I do fear a RB V1.5 hitting KS, possibly even before my copy arrives, and that I’ll need it to bring my game up to the state it should have been at release.
Anyway, rant and cynicism over. I’m off to watch the backstager and to get some painting done.
Stoessi’s line is superb, the mini’s for HEL look awesome and the artwork that inspires it even better. Thanks for another great show.
Happy Friday!!!
Great episode
The shieldwolf stuff is very cool, but i’d say the chibi Sisters of Conflict are the best not 40K army (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/674003445/chibi-siblings-of-conflict-miniatures/description)
Good episode gents, many thanks for the tribute at the start. RIP Andy
Have you subscribed to sky adds. Check out the discord channel.
BT51 3DR is the post code, I found it hard to find.
Love the John Wayne character so much that I converted a similar command base for Flames of War when the game first came out.
Thanks chaps, really enjoyed it. Looking forward to “Hel” in particular. Event Horizon with vikings…
Happy bday Warren!
Thanks guys for the link and info about the Stoessi’s Heroes. Will be buying all the Russians and the Band of Brothers minis first.
@avernos looks like you have been buying your eggs from the local pub again buddy. What happened to the beard length?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfdlmS-ur6k
@lloyd that looked like a Dust 1947 t-shirt. You can get revenge on the missus buddy, show her this and then grab some scissors and some of her bras 😀 Always use the left cup though or you look a right tit! That joke is as bad as the ones you tell us hehe

Ze germans look awesome
Really like the stoessi hero miniatures for bolt action…..and I play Germans, result!
Don’t mention the Korps! And there’s nothing wrong with Cadians. I bloody love Cadians!
OK. Just spent as much time convincing the missus I need Signum Games’ Plague Doctors for my Deathguard army as I did drooling at the figures. Postage to UK is, significant, but they so purty!
Enjoyed the show, thanks very much.
Good show!
Eastern European Birdie Ladies?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!
Happy weekend guys!
That Hel the Last Saga looks nice, hope it’s not too tempting!
See you on XLBS.
Those WW2 minis are sick. The Gene Hackman guy is pretty friggen cool. I bought that movie of Amazon. One of my all time favorite WW2 films. Great show boys. We miss Sam. Were has he been? Have a great weekend. Happy Birthday Warren.
These Stoessi’s heroes are really nice. Perhaps I would have to start a German army.
Great show guys, some cracking content there?
Great show guys! Dang that ‘Not Death Korps’ Army looks great. Unfortunately I have about 5000 points of Death Korps already! Yes 8 have a problem!
A pity they went for a rehash of the Death Korps, would have liked to see a new idea tried.
Another Great Weekender Guys very funny, lots of good WWII miniature goodness presented this week. My wallet is screaming at me now to purchase new hero’s!
Great show as ever. Stoessi’s Heroes look fantastic! Have a terrific week guys, and keep your tshirts safe.
Great looking stuff there from Stoessi’s Heroes. I really like that look of that Japanese tea house too, the wife is right in to her Japanese gaming, going to have to pick that one up I reckon.
Thanks for this show. 🙂
They are blooming nice German Parachuters
Only a couple days behind.
No oddball?
I especially like the fact that Stoessi supports veterans
Stoessi’s Heroes look great.
Those Imperium Immortalis figures look awesome. Definitely would make excellent alternative guardsmen.
