A Tease Of Star Wars: Legion Gameplay With Ben & Gianna

Ben & Gianna decided to sneak into the vendor hall just before close to try and get in a few rounds of Star Wars: Legion with Fantasy Flight Games.

We have had a lot of fun with this and while we had a bit of a technical snafu towards the end of the game as the hall came to a close we hope this gave you a taster of the mechanics in play here on this wonderful Endor board.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the dice system in this one. The activation method is really cool though.

Looks so good. I hope that the local stores will bring this in.

I really like this. I love Runewar and think this system will be darn cool.

Beautiful models but I don’t think I’ll get into it. At least not until more factions come out. 0 interest in collecting Rebel terrorists ( 😉 ) and I’ll have to collect both armies and paint them myself probably.
But if ‘Scum and Villainy’ were to come out…

Now that looks like a good game! Thanks for the demo!

Was Justin behind the camera? 🙂

Wander if someone will make oficial terrain scenery, just imagine imperial destroyer corridors…
Hoth base, yavin4 piramid…

Signature FFG movement with templates and proprietary dice.
Doesn’t look like a bad system, to be sure. I doubt it will overtake any of the other games locally though.

It’s the Endor of the World as we know it, It’s the Endor of the World as we know it, It’s the Endor of the World as we know it, and Everything’s fine. How are you?

The more I look at this game, the more excited I am to get my greedy little hands on it. If it’s out in the UK for Christmas, my present is already sorted.

Not a huge Stars Wars geek but this looks cool.

I can see it’s going to be a far more tactical game when you have more units.

Definitely added to my wish list. Gameplay looks easy and smooth. FF does put out some great games.

So first question. On Gianna’s first activation she aimed and shot – but Ben’s lousy shooters got going to get cover from the intervening barriers. Had she moved to the barriers and shot he’d have lost the cover. Was the aim vs no cover the right choice? As it is it was close.

That’s a great question. I did that to show the aim / shoot mechanic and I thought at the time it would give me the best opportunity to take out as many troopers as possible.

Can’t decide what star wars themed table i need to make for this game. I am thinking I will need Hoth, Tatooine and Endor although Mustafar would be nice and maybe my infinity terrain would make a nice Coroscant. Is it 2018 yet?

I am a little sad they did not go 15mm, as “Joan of Ar”c proves, you can still get great detailed sculpts, and that would leave more maneuvering room for the vehicles. The speederbikes look awesome, but are too slow at 32mm scale.
