Games Workshop surprised us this week with another new Age Of Sigmar miniature preview. Lord Kroak of the Seraphon is bringing his mind (and ancient body) to the battlefield in order to reset the balance of the realms.

This new miniature is a pretty massive glow-up from the original version. Heck, it's a massive update from the last version of the miniature too. It shows Kroak in all of his might, floating into battle atop his magical palanquin. There are plenty of cues to previous iterations of the miniature and It's neat that it feels like it's free-standing thanks to the floating ruins.

Lord Kroak Detail #1 - Warhammer Age Of Sigmar

The Seraphon are true warriors and beings of Azyr. Whilst they have made no pacts with Sigmar, they have the same foe as the Stormcast Eternals and will often fight alongside them in order to combat the forces of Chaos. That being said, they are ferocious and have little time for those who stand in the way of their meticulously planned strategies.

Lord Kroak has been weaving magical spells for aeons and it would be folly to think that this decrepit frog is going to be a pushover. I cannot wait to see what utter carnage he can bring to the battlefield.

An impressive miniature that is no doubt going to herald the coming of more for the Seraphon in Age Of Sigmar. I love that, like many of us, the Seraphon are pining for the loss of The World That Was and I am starting to think that an army of star lizards would be pretty cool to play as.

Are you tempted to pick up Seraphon for Age Of Sigmar?
