The UCM are going to be going up against the Bioficers in a brand new starter set alongside a new edition of this excellent Sci-Fi wargame.
Brand new plastic ships, an all-new rulebook and more are to come for TTCombat's Dropfleet Commander which takes the battles from Dropzone Commander and moves them into orbit above the planet. Do you have a favourite faction that you can't wait to see updated?

Everytime I see posts about DFC 2.0 I’m reminded that I *still* haven’t built or painted the contents of the 1.0 box I got via the Kickstarter >_<

I’m slowly working the way through the old ships, they really are fantastic designs and super useful for other games too like Billion Suns, I will admit I’ve yet to actually play DFC, maybe with a new edition around it will kick me up the backside and get me to!

Really looking forward to seeing where DFC 2.0 goes, also mildly annoyed it’s not DFC 2.0.0 (if you know you know). Those new plastics look very interesting, and I didnt know the UMC had new designs!

Looking forward to the DFC 2.0 rules. Some of the terrain from the indie of the week looks pretty good, may have to give it a closer look. The Eons of Battle channel is pretty good, they put out a lot of vids every week.

Never played Dropfleet Commander so it might now be time…
The Nova Open was very disappointing. Legion Imperials was so vague I don’t know why they even bothered. They say they are going to flesh out the Solar Auxilia and Space Marines for now and they can do Custodes, Sisters and Mechanicus but it sounded like it would still be years before they are even going to do that. What is that for a road map.
Blood bowl chaos dwarfs look amazing, May draw me back into bloodbowl.

was very disappointed by the GW “reveals” this time round, roadmaps pretty much showing no info worth noting. Feel sorry for my friend though who actually stayed up all night to watch the stream….
New dropfleet set looks good, recently sold my set as i couldnt get my head around the rules, but if the rules have improved, could be tempted again, i do like the look of the UCM fleets
Legion is likely going to be seeing limited new releases until Disney gets another hit like Mandolarian. So a few years before we see anything really exciting unless they open up the EU.

Made me laugh how Ben’s best-first run down of the GW news had Gerry skipping merrily onto 3D printing ?
For being their flagship game it really feels like 40K gets the second rate ideas and sculpts from GW when you see what they’re putting out for the likes of AOS and Necromunda. A lot of the recent 40K stuff has felt like a straight up downgrade
The way GW operates sometimes is hilariously baffling. “Great news: there’s no news!” is just pure comedy.
Despite the absurdity, I rather have more periods of nothing new coming out than the constant bombardment of announcements and preorders and books and erratas and… It may be a positive thing letting the game breathe and settle a little from time to time to curb the constant FOMO we’ve been dealing with the last years.

Blood Bowl, that brings me back when playing it in 1st edition as Chaos Dwarf with a Bull Centaur Star Player to make a really good defence. Some players/teams did not like a good defence and loosing the game.

Has anyone actually made a Dropfleet Commander Fleet Lists for Babylon 5 or 40K?
Every time I see new Legion I want to get official rules for Old Republic era stuff. Revan and friends.
Right now I’m going to have to get those new Bushido minis though.
I hope the new Dropfleet Commander is a bit less fiddly than v1. Interesting game, with a lot of cool ideas (and a LOT of cool space ships) but it was quite hard for someone as time-poor as me to get my head around.

Man I have the original Laser Cut Architect Defense Line, originally won it from a Weekender years ago and grew it during the 4Ground sale when they went out of business.
I wish that range was still going as I’d love to expand it but knowing the original creator is still going gives me hope. Might be able to get something complimentary at least.
I can only hope that listening to the podcast version results in fewer purchases than the videos… Which is still too many!
