Infinity: Defiance Themed Week
Starting things off we've got a full-on themed week launching next week for Infinity: Defiance. This is the new Sci-Fi dungeon crawler from Corvus Belli which is one hell of a good time.

Who is already enjoying their Kings of War Edition 3 book? Mine doesn’t arrive until Tuesday….(Grrrr)

.I really like how you guys emphasize that it’s not too late to get involved in the Flames of War Campaign. There’s plenty of time to finish an army that is not fully done, and there’s time to start a new army right now and still get into the World Wide Campaign. It really is never too late!
3rd is worth the wait. Great looking book!
I ordered my big bundle from a new shop in the republic, because I want to pay more and wait longer…Also I felt like supporting a little guy who is keen on KoW himself. So I feel your pain, it has all the nice things.
But I caved and ordered the 2 player set as well last week and it arrived today and it’s lovely. Smaller gamer edition book so no fluff, but the ickle tiny foxes on the sprues for the NA are so cute and that’s why I game, the cuteness of foxes 😀
I just checked my Tracking Number for my Kings of War 3rd Edition and it says that it arrived at my local post office this morning at 6am. So there is a chance that I’ll see it on my door step today! ? Doing a bit of a happy dance at the moment.

I just received my Kings of War 3rd Edition book. HOLY-COW! What a great book. Looks great, feels like a well made book, and is so full great information.
Makes me want to break out my elves and get’em on the table today.

Interesting that this hasn’t made it to the top bar after at least 2 hours of being posted.
Don’t know if others only look at the top bar for the shows, but I certainly do.
On to watching the show and then I suppose the rugby…At least the boundary line is unlikely to safe England like it did in the 50 over Cricket World Cup. Just wish New Zealand vs England could have been the final in the RWC as well.
It published late matey 🙂 and then the top bars and other bits take time to catch up because of the delayed caches 🙂 should be there now!
I reckon we’re gonna give the All Blacks a good game today – we might even win!

Never remember what we learned from mighty ducks 3 – how long does it take for the opposition to score…
At half-time, it hasn’t worked out too badly for them.
It looked as though NZ were play 90 minute match the way they kept going!
They still wouldn’t have scored a try if they played another 90 minutes. England very impressive.

I think the rules of Rugby need to be changed.
The England try that was disallowed for a shepherd shouldn’t have been, and I think should be a lawful play.
I don’t know the rules very well, and from the number of penalties against them, neither do the All Blacks, but I saw what to my untrained eye appeared to be the exact same thing but they went unpenalized.
The fact that two ABs got suckered into tackling the player without the ball, when he was really never in a position to receive it after he moved past the player with the ball…
There was an AB player that should have stayed marking the player that got the ball, I think the England No. 7, and tackled him. I question whether the AB player did it on purpose, just so the try, if scored, was disallowed.
And we did…
As for UK sports, I’ve never gotten into watching Rugby.
But Cricket! ?? There’s the sport I really love, both watching and playing.
We have an Aussie transplant over here which lives about a hundred or so miles away from my location and he’s done rather well for himself to the degree of buying extra land and building a quility legal Cricket Pitch. Great fun. I don’t get over often but when I do I wear my England kit and do my ancestors proud. (I do believe I can hear him moan under his breath when I pull up in my BRG roadster……”oh my that git is back, all decked out in he’s England’s finest crap) He’s a very nice gentleman and would never say that to my face.
I do subscribe to a Cricket broadcast service so I can watch games live and also watch recorded games from start to finish. I hate just getting the highlights that most US sports channels show, if they so anything at all.
Couple of cricket fans here. I prefer the red ball test match stuff. Sport of kings!

The Ossiarch Bonereapers come off kind of like Tomb Kings with the serial numbers filed off to me.
It’s the Weekend! A small oval ball matter to resolve shortly but time to watch this first… Then some hobby!

GW have really stepped up there game with the quality of the sculpts lately, those Corpse Grinders look amazing, will have to pick up a set of those. Painting them will be challenging but worth while I think.
I love the polite voice @bennon gave the ogres “bring our bodies back please!”
Other bands play… ManOwaR kill – literally now! Pressure on to paint the Kings of Metal to a worthy standard.

The upcoming kickstarter sounds great to get my friends into Infinity.
All power to the Battlefront NZ, who will be doing it a bit tough. Monday is Labour Day in New Zealand, so a public holiday….
But I suppose they may get to play a few games during a work day, and at penal rates too 😉 – it’s part of the law down here, and they get a paid day off in lieu as well 🙂
And they might need a few beers after the game tonight (NZ time).

At some point when @brennon says Ossiarch Bonereapers, in my head has changed to Aussie Oak Bonereapers and now it won’t change. Because of this the new undead army roll up with clique lines when asking for bones.

I can’t wait for the Infinity reveals, but i also like some of those AoS models. The female barbarian one looks cool. If they would sell them on their own, i definitely would get one to convert to something else.

Fantatsic episode but and I say this with all due respect I really struggle to understand how a company as large as Cmon still feels they can exploit Kickstarter at the expense of smaller companies that actually need it.
I know its an old argument but theyre not small anymore and they have buffers, theyre a huge seller in retail stores.
Because they make a shit-ton of money that way and Kickstarter isn’t stopping them because they earn a truckload of money of of those projects. And I don’t really see the “expense of smaller” there because everybody still can use Kickstarter and even when CMON would leave KS and start it their own way their projects would still overshadow any small’ish things.
I really do need to check out infinity

The Necromunda cops look like the originals plus a sprue of shields and an officer. I hope they expand the other factions in plastic and ditch the FW resin.
That necromunda box set looks appealling. The real make or break point will be the pricing and is it going to be affordable or not. Sometimes I think if GW went for the cardstock terrain approach for things like this would be much better. Looking at the likes of core space and seeing what they have done with cardstock terrain makes me wonder why other companies don’t follow the same kind of thing.
The original edition of Necromunda did cardstock terrain. It was not as awe-inspiring as the nostalgia is making it out to be. It was both inexpensive and cheap and went along way toward ensuring that no one played a game that involved great heights for a long time. o_0

I would really appreciate if Marvel would stop peeing all over Norse mythology. Making a game/universe within it and then not getting it exactly right is not a problem at all – but using the names and totally misunderstanding the myths when making something completely unrelated is really annoying.
The Kings of Metal are coming to… miniature? You really have to be born with a Heart of Steel to paint them. Takes a lot of Courage for sure. I am totally Shell Shock by this news that totally Blew My Speakers. I guess all the Warriors of the World will have to Carry On until they are released (I can do this all week)….

excited for the new crisis models. I love the asgardian packs 2 heros and one with 2 villains but the mix and match aspect of the game keeps things very fresh.

No mention of Essen Spiel 2019 taking place this weekend… this… seems like a strange oversight. Or are Ryan, Cass and Sam all over in Germany on a secret undercover mission to check out all the latest and greatest in board, card and miniature games?
Just watched an Essen Video Blog on YouTube which included Az at the Mythic Games stand. Also Dust 1947 and a Batman Edition of GW’s Talisman.
Zombicide 2nd Edition is not for me – I don’t like the artwork this time – somehow all the Characters have become even more grotesque caricatures.
And… have not really ever played the Season 2 Prison Outbreak or the Angry Neighbors boxes I bought years ago.
And… my “No Kickstarters this year Pledge” will remain unbroken for a second year.
cant wait to get my hands on crisis protocol in a few weeks time

Talking of Kickstarters… Diehard Miniatures’ 5th Oldhammer style kickstarter has one week to go. As with the previous successful Kickstarters, Tim Prow has sculpted some fantastic retro miniatures and this year’s theme of chaos characters could be of interest for proxy miniatures in Warhammer Warcry. If you like painting miniatures these are great and I have a number of these Diehard minis in my collection now. They are fun and quirky and remind me of Citadel Miniatures from the mid 1980s and 1990s and reasonably priced.
A bumper month for lovely new stuff. Can’t wait to finally see the defiance content tomorrow ??
Oh god I cannot wait for defiance. Been looking for an excuse to get back into the infinity universe and this looks to be just it!
I know that I am looking forward to getting the terrain set from the new infinity box set when it comes out.
