Wiglaf Miniatures by scribbs

Leading the way for this week, we're having a look at some of the work by scribbs on the 18mm range by Wiglaf Miniatures. Mark Copplestone has done an amazing job on the sculpts for this range and scribbs has turned them into amazing tabletop-worthy warriors!

Wiglaf Miniatures #1 by scribbs

The amount of detail that scribbs has been able to work into this range of miniature is fantastic and I love not only all of the colour choices but also the texture and depth added into the mix as well. You can see that in the cloaks that these characters are wearing and the big fur that adorns the back of that one warrior above.

Wiglaf Miniatures #2 by scribbs

All of the big block colours used on the miniatures work very nicely and I like how they have been made to pop so that they break up the chainmail that adorns all of the warriors. I also like that all of the helm details have been picked out nicely and there is also a lot of work going into elements like the faces too.

Wiglaf Miniatures #3 by scribbs

It's no secret that we really love this miniatures range and think it's a great way to dive into a bit of Dark Age wargaming on the tabletop. Seeing more people paint up the miniatures certainly pushes you towards the idea of giving the game a go yourself, at least in my case!

Batman by chaosgorka

chaosgorka has also been turning their attention towards something dark. Rather than wandering through the corridors of history, they have been treading the mean streets of Gotham and have painted up the Dark Knight himself.

Batman #1 by chaosgorka

As is always the case with chaosgorka, they have done some amazing work on their miniatures. The amount of subtle blending and shading that has gone into that cloak itself is just, insane. I love that chaosgorka has gone with the richer blue that would be familiar to those seeing Batman in the comics. I also like that Batman himself isn't lost in the miniature and you've got the iconic logo poking out of the folds.

Batman #2 by chaosgorka

A wonderful bit of painting that has really made this miniature come to life. It can't have been particularly easy to work out which bits were in shadow and which weren't, especially with the way that the cape billows up. The plain base for Batman here then works nicely and works as a good frame for the main character.

Glass Men Constructs by lundy

Last but not least, we have someone that Warren spotted out on the wild frontier which is the internet. lundy has made a quick project showing off their miniatures that they have been working on for Frostgrave where they are attempting to bring the Constructs from this world to life.

Glass Men #1 by Lundy

Their first miniatures that caught our attention was this take on the Glass Men. These strange constructs were added into one of the most recent expansions for Frostgrave and whilst there are miniatures to represent them from North Star, lundy wanted to make them using actual pieces of clear plastic and a lot of patience.

Glass Men #2 by Lundy

Yes, these Glass Men have been crafted from thin pieces of plastic that have been glued together in different formations and then coloured with paint to give that stained glass effect. All of the work that has gone into just this one miniature is pretty astounding and I think it's a testament to how a game can really grab your attention.

Hopefully, we'll get more of these fascinating creations from lundy in the coming weeks and months!
