I love getting the Weekender on Friday. I’m busier on Saturday. that Moonstone is just a little too weird for me. Great miniatures though.
That (not a dragon) wyvern looks the real deal. Would be a great painting project and I would certainly construct it with the fins on the neck option.

Mantic is really hitting it out of the park with their new table top accessory. I agree with @lloyd Mantic needs to offer a set of multiples of some of their stuff. Also, that stuff will work great with my 7TV games as well.

Given that it’s set in a place called New Babylon, Gangs of the Undercity is giving me a Middle Eastern cyberpunk feel with magic. Think I’m going to dig out my copy of “Where Gravity fails” to get some inspiration.

Happy Weekender everyone. Really had a grand week so tonights show and XLBS are the icing on the cake. Looking forward to a full hobby weekend first in a long while. Those moonstone minis are great, love the look of the commonwealth and enjoy the 3×3 game size, the bluff aspect sounds fun. Flight of Dragons was hands down my favourite film as a kid, watch out for them sandmirks.

Yes @avernos the training your dragon will get is all related to Rule 34. There is much of the internets you don’t want to delve into but fall headlong through to depths undreamed of that leave you screaming for your sanity after having witnessed… and Flight of Dragons was pretty good. Perhaps not as interesting as books written by rabbits.
Lloyds “girly” dragon impersonation has finally answered the age old question of why there are no more dragons. It even made Jerry cry a little..

I like my dwarfs, but I’d have liked to see a bit of colour on the example figures, they are all very grey and with little to stand apart between uniform, weapons and beards. A flash of colour on the epaulettes, or dark brown beards would have made these look more interesting and less borring. The witch hunter is the one exception to this and the most interesting figure in the lot.

Liking the look of the Space Dwarfs
Undercity has me curious but I just cant get a feel for it from those virtual playthroughs. Also with lockdown in place and all my friends having babies and adult responsibilites its very hard to get games of anything in. With the possibility that lockdowns are going to be an ongoing thing I wonder if they have put any thought in to a solo mode? Surely multiplayer only games are facing or will soon be facing diminished interest as people have diminished opportunities to play with others?

Battlefront is knocking it out of the park with the new box sets the last year or two. Haven’t gotten a chance to start a WW3 army yet but with this lockdown I think i have some time. I have had time to get some old purchases assembled and painted. Can’t wait until you do another hobby weekend with Battlefront.

@avernos: Any mention from Fraggin Unicorns on when this might be around? I assume not before the end of the current Kickstarter as they must have their hands full.
when I was chatting with Opti it was far off. As they’re all working at their own jobs launching their own game world is going to be a phased thing, so the skirmish first and get it bedded in before expanding into the RPG. I’ll see if I can find out any more but I suspect a year away at least.

The Indomitus situation is pretty sad; I am glad GW is trying to order more product, but they had to be able to forecast proper demand for the set better than they did.

Indomitus is a really great box. If I scored one I’ll be recruiting them all into my Deathwatch. For the Necrons, we’ll my sons 7 and it’s about time he had an army of his own!
Oh… those squats… I mean ‘sci-fi dwarves’! I’ll have to compare them to the Mantic offering I’ve got. Getting ahead of GW if squats are actually making a come back. Good business acumen!

happy to see moonstone feature again on the show. It really does have a great system, the bluff and counter bluff is such a unique and engaging mechanic that no other game does well at the moment. Hope to see some more in depth let’s plays in the future for it so people can understand and see the depth to the card system they use.

Well I must admit the Wofun stuff I was kinda “Good idea”, but making it with Mr Dennis’s Artwork now makes it a “GREAT idea”. As others have mentioned doing either Napoleonics or American Revolution would be severely tempting should the get Mr Dennis’s artwork on them.
But the Punic range also looks tempting, thinking of how to do Clash of Spears with them perhaps?
PS. I’m with Lloyd, the “fin” is the way to go on that Kurasan Dragon 🙂
…and I think the Archon Design’s Undead Dragon takes the award (bet it’s a bugger to cast as well)
