Happy Weekend!
Happy Weekend. Looking forward to watch the episode…
Perfect timing, I just saw an article about Age of tyrants and thought about joining the Kickstarter. Thanks and have a wonderfull weekend!
Age of Tyrants? Junkers? Varidians? is this Void/Urban War?
Looks like it, Myriad Miniatures are the latest custodians of the IP.
It’s set in the same universe.
Yep, set in the same universe – just 200 years earlier. This is just before first contact with the Koralon. It’s also the time that the Iskandrians emerge, so they *might* appear in the Kickstarter too…
Right now, yes, it’s about the four main ‘quasi-human’ factions; Junkers, Viridians, VASA and Syntha.
Great show guys, as always. Gets my Saturday’s off on the right foot.
Really liking the sharp resin casts on the models from Age of Tyrants. Not normally a fan of resin but those look cool.
I’m already a big player of x-wing and have box loads of 15mm FoW so well looking forward to trying out Tanks.
The Fyreslayer stuff for AoS just gets better and better. Simply can’t wait to start painting some of these larger pieces, I’ve been looking for an excuse to get started with my airbrush for way too long!
Looking forward to tomorrow’s XLBS
Yeah, we’ve selected a very particular resin mix to use. It’s super simple to build with and even better for gaming as it’s super-hardwearing!
Age of Tyrants sounds cool
yay its the weekend again
Warren if you want to get in to winter themed Trollbloods I’m certain you would love epic Borka as your Warlock. His feat, spells and abilities work around cold and HE’S RIDING A GIANT POLAR BEAR!
@warzan Very happy you’re looking to build a Trollblood army – I’d love to see more Warmachine and Hordes content on BoW. I was also going to point you in direction of the polar bear riding Borka, but as @cydonian has beat me to it I’ll simply second that it’s a sweet model that I’m sure you’ll love.
‘Tis the winter finally (in parts of UK) so time to suggle up with a paintbrush and a pile of grey plqstic!
And I shall call the mammoth “Fitzjustin”
Age of Tyrants certainly sounds interesting, I’ve not backed anything yet this year thought I have been tempted by a few things, notably The Epic Western which has 21days left to run, it’s sort of Poker meets a board game and looks interesting – at $24 for the deluxe box I think I’ll probably go for it. But Age of Tyrants is looking like the next thing I’ll back!
That’s great news! Thanks for the support. 🙂
Happy weekend. The GW dragon looks good, even if it sounds like its out a Transformers movie.
@warzan How could you forget to mention that gorgeous Battle Yak in that Shieldmaidens vs Orcs?? It’s a god damned Battle Yak!
Happy weekend
Nice show, as always. Happy weekend!
I’m a big fan of 6mm games. Epic is still my favourite system but I will be watching AoT with great interest.
That’s great!
Yeah, Age of Tyrants fills a different niche. A few of us on the team are old Epic fans (I have a Squat army from way back when!) but we wanted something more focused on the ‘Grand Scale’ feel of things – i.e. the Command and Control rules as well as Combined Arms. I think Epic was more a means to an end, to realistically field titan legions, etc – perhaps not thinking quite so much about how the rules should influence that.
Not that Epic is bad or anything, it’s just another 6mm scale sci-fi game; as (in 32mm terms) Infinity is to 40k! 🙂
Tyrants looks like a good punt
love Epic interesting tho see how this plays
Yep, keep your eyes peeled for the how to play videos.
Hi folks.
Great show !
@justin.
The M7 ‘Priest’ was used mid war by the allies in North Africa and Tunisia. And by the Americans until the end of the war.
(The British replaced the Priest with their own variant of SPG the Sexton.)
Did you know the M7 was christened the ‘Priest’ by British troops because they thought the 50 cal, ring mount looked a bit like a church pulpit.
@warzan.
Maybe your shift in scale is due to you wanting to enjoy massed battles in a practical way?
Appropriately scaled minatures for the size of game IS important to gamers.(Not so much for collectors for obvious reasons.)
Age of Tyrants looks like a well thought out and carefully crafted product , full of all the things I want in a mass battle sci fi game!
Yep! It’s been in development for 8 years! It’s taken a long time to get it to this stage and I’ve only just jumped on board this ship!
Age of Tyrants looks cool, am I going mad or have we seen Rob on a weekender before?
no he has been on BOW promoting other game’s Urban War? I think.
or warzone?
Yes, I used to work for Prodos Games. I decided to leave to pursue my own ventures (with Hysterical Games and Panzerfäuste), but was contacted by John Robertson to join the Age of Tyrants project – I decided I have time for both!
I’ll probably be on BoW yet again for Age of Tyrants AND Panzerfäuste. 🙂
those fyreslayers are awful, makes me wonder where are GW heading…
Is Rob not working at prisons anymore?
Meant to say Prodos not prisons
Freudian slip 😛
hiho,
the resculpt mini of warmachine are beautifull, i realy like the new sculpt of deni2. its a must have for me 🙂
@cydonian
the winter based trollblood theme is realy funny 🙂
cu
caleum
Hordes: A troll(blood) of Fire and Ice 😉
really liking the look of 6mm gaming, cant wait to try it.
Great stuff!
Age of Tyrants sure looks interesting, l’ll defiantly take a look at that KS.
But, how the hell do you paint 6mm Sci-Fi infantry dudes, drybrush or shade?
Just paint them the same way you would paint any other 6mm
I’d suggest slightly brighter colours than the equivalent 28mm and don’t worry too much about shading and highlights.
I guess I should elaborate
Method 1
Spray black then paint on colours brighter than normal. When painting the colours but leave enough of the black so you create your own blacklining
Method 2
This only really counts towards power armour
Spray black paint on base colour. Paint in details wash with thinned down black
Method 3 ( My favourite)
Spray Grey/White
Wash with a shade ( I use Vallejo Black shade heavily watered. This creates some shadow for later
Pant on colours
Wash with Winsor and Newton Nut Brown
Although the Ritterkrieg site I used to visit is sadly no more
This blog is worth a visit for painting both infantry and tanks and stuff
https://cranium27.wordpress.com/
I generally suggest basecoats, wash then a drybrush or two.
Great thing about 6mm is that you can ‘get away’ with a lot more using very basic techniques. I much prefer painting big armies of 6mm than big armies of 28mm for exactly that reason!
I’ve been watching and waiting for quite some time for age of tyrants to come to kickstarter. The background is very cool but the game itself looks and sounds fantastic. I’ll definitely be jimpinge in on this!
That’s awesome!
Wow. What a week!
Love the skimrishy tanks (will if someone else does).
Love the Malifauxtaur (starting Arcanists).
Love the Priest (doing Brits).
Love love love the N Africa and Italy campaign book.
Love Corax and the Raven Guard (probably won’t but they look superb).
Love the bikers – even though their cooler than the Haqqislam ones (grumble).
That’s just the news. I need a cup of tea.
* they’re cooler
Gotta calm down the frothing on a Saturday.
I’ve said it before and I say it again.
The joys of Six.
I’m going balls deep in Age of Tyrants.
hahaha! We will welcome you with open legs.
I mean arms!
Definitely arms!
And now we’re into Wayne England. IMO as important a name in wargaming as John Blanche. He’s been around since I was at school and produced some of my very favourite pieces of work in 30-odd years.
Yep, Wayne has been pivotal to the development of this game and many others. A lot of our team go back a looooong way with Wayne! 🙂
I agree that John Blanche and Wayne England are huge parts of this industry. I think they may have lived together at one point!
@warzan woohoo you now see the beauty of 6mm now extrapolate that sense of scale to other gaming genres…lol
As to getting into this I think its something I may look at, initial impressions are that it looks like a beautifully designed and the rules sound really good… However but at the moment my sci-fi itch which is very much lesser than my historical itch is taken up with DZC universe and with the Dropfleet on the horizon…i have to think seriously about budgets….BoW is like a damn drug dealer …lol
DZC isn’t 6mm… 😛
I’m disappointed! Warren assured me you’d be ‘THE’ guy for this! 😀
I promise that it will fill a totally different niche to DZC and DFC. Just give the Kickstarter a chance once it hits! 🙂
A game between the cryx and cygnar warcaster…. A wizard did it.
Not normally in to 6mm but Age of Tyrants has certainly grabbed my attention. Really appreciate the interview here today. Thanks guys.
Yeah, we’re hoping this game breaks the mould of 6mm gaming. Our experience is that many other games get caught up in the number crunching – where we want to focus on the action and on the special skills of each unit type.
Looking forward to seeing you on Kickstarter!
I am very excited about the prospect of Tanks. I think Battlefront have developed an amazing strategy moving forward with respect to its line of games.
Do you like the intricacies of rules and company creation along a more “historical” frame that allows you to recreate battles from the past? Then of course, Flames of War has that covered for you in an “epic” scale.
Do you prefer something more along the “what if” line AND want to do battle with modern vehicles and aircraft, but also not want to get bogged down in all of the “complicated” rules that make up FoW? Then Team Yankee can scratch that itch while still maintaining the 15mm scale.
Finally, do you just want to take (most) everyones favorite aspect of warfare and jump into a skirmish-based vehicle game with even more stream-lined rules and unit cards to allow you to purchase your squads? Then they have a new product in Tanks that may be right up your alley.
And, as for legs, I think this is brilliant because they already sell vehicles in sets of 2, 3, 4 and five (in memory serves me correctly) and all they would need to do is to sell expansion packs of cards and voila, now you are ready to expand your squads. Some might say, but you have to paint those (because assembly is not an issue since even Tanks models require assembly), but lets be honest that all you would need is one of their spray cans of an appropriate tank color for your forces and off you go!
Well done, Battlefront!
Shame its a ks. As cool as it looks. Don’t really fancy waiting a year just to get models
Ya 6mm!!! its about time for scifi epic battles
VASA was my faction in Void, and I’m a little disappointed that they’re keeping the Russian aesthetic instead of the original anime one I liked. That change was the main reason I didn’t jump to Urban War.
But it’s nice that their transport keeps the 8 wheel look of the Ronin from Void. And It’s awesome that dinosaurs might return for Viridia!
We may still explore that avenue. I think one of our expansion packs focuses on the ‘Void 1.1’ aesthetic a little bit more – thus resulting in Dinosaurs for Viridia!
Awesome Show! Glad to see some Bolt Action stuff. Between the M7 Priest and the US winter infantry I am with you Justin. It’s time for a US force! You got everything right about the Priest too by the way except it was based on the M3 Lee!
Definitely hope Age of Tyrants does well. Most other 6mm SF games are sadly just uninspired Epic proxies so it is nice to see something with it’s own look and backround! Will probably get in on it to support them.
Hey!
I’m really pleased you can see that we’re not trying to go for the Epic Proxy approach. If GW want to redo Epic, they will do. Us, on the other hand, want to make something totally different – so that people could happily and comfortably play both games for totally different reasons!
Another great show, Age of Tyrants sounds really good and I would really like to see it being played.
Watch out for the how to play videos on Kickstarter!
I’m really excited for Age of Tyrants, I’ve been getting their updates for a few months now so I’m ready when their kickstarter goes live.
Warran I cant reccomend Malifaux enough, I got into it in the latter half of 2015 and its such a brilliant game, so much character in the game and suits your sense of humor really well too.
Loving the look of the Age of Tyrants too, beautiful wokr
AoT looks great. Looking forward to the kickstarter.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
I could hear screams emanating from every treadhead on the planet at the uncertainty regarding the M7…. 3 seconds on Wikipedia answers all the basics
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M7_Priest
AOT – interesting
Age of Tyrants seems like some new twist to mini gaming will be checking out the KS from what I heard from show today. Only concern is 6mm, love the fact of being able to control massive tanks but detail and painting small infantry at this scale will they look good at that scale or more like blobs.
Ours are really detailed. We didn’t show any infantry on the show – but you’ll see them on Kickstarter. You can also check them out on our website, http://www.ageoftyrants.com – where we have Sketchfabb, fully rotational, images of most of our Sculpts.
My alarm is already set for the Kickstarter. I think it’s a cool game to try my first kickstarter pledge. 🙂
If you need any advice on how to use Kickstarter, feel free to PM us during the project on Kickstarter! 🙂
I’ve got to admit I really love them original art sketches. I want them all!
I do like Shieldwolf miniatures but I really want them to expand the Araves (arabian nights) range.
The weekender is here .
will keep an eye out for the Age got Tyrants KS – will need a stead y hand to paint 6mm though.
You’d be amazed what you can get away with!
To be honest, drybrushing and washes are your friend! We’ll likely make some sort of ‘how to paint 6mm’ guide for people as well.
One good way is spraying them white, then just using inks or washes to pick out certain colours! You’d be amazed what you can achieve…
I was interested in urban war but this game looks way better just needs more factions
Already got at least 2 more waiting up in the sidelines… 🙂
@warzan If your interested I have taken the liberty of doing up an article on starting with Trollbloods for Hordes here, since you mentioned it in the episode:
http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/warmachine-general-discussion/forum/topic/throngs-of-the-trollsbloods-an-article-on-starting-trollbloods/#post-145827
Age of Tyrants doesn’t look too bad. I downloaded some rules a while back and there is some interesting C&C mechanisms in it. Not sure if they have changed a lot in the intervening time. The models look nice as well . But there us fair amount of competition out there and interested in the prices will be
Hey!
Yeah, the rules have changed a little bit from that point. Jake Thornton has muscled in and given some super-good feedback. I think we’ve updated the website more recently with the updated rules- but I’m not 100% on that.
Yeah, there is some competition out there; but we’re doing our best to sell a game in a world of it’s own. Not just a proxy for another popular sci-fi 6mm game. We can’t sell for tuppence, but we’ll do our best to throw the best value we can at you folks.
Thanks for the reply
Price wise I would consider Onslaught very top end of the price ranges and they come in at £5.50 for 25 infantry. Something between that and £7 for 96 that Baccus sell at would be ideal
Haha. Poor Justin, he doesn’t half come in for some stick from you guys on occasion! 😛
I’m just thinking a Tank All Star Battle Royale. You each take a turn randomly picking a number out of a cup/hat etc. That number has been preassigned to a tank. Then you randomly get dealt the cards for crew, upgrades etc. Then when all tanks are picked you set up etc and have a Big Ole Tank Off.
happy weekend gents
The factions in Age of Tyrants sound exactly like a 28mm sci fi wargame from a while back. I cant remember the name but it had Junkers and Viridians in the starter box. They were really nice models.
It’s being done by the same guys that did Void a while back
I remember getting a starter box ages ago. Are they the same guys that did Celtos as well?
Ah nvm. It’s been mentioned. Void. I can now stop racking my brain to remember lol.
Yep, some of the same guys – but a new team. Void and Urban War were sold to Scotia Grendel and Celtos to Brigade Models.
We’re carving our own corner in the Void setting with Age of Tyrants. The fiction is fantastic, so we really didn’t want to have to design a new setting and it just seemed natural. In fact, the ‘Age of Tyrants’ title comes from a timeline from one of the old sourcebooks.
AoT will probably be my 1st quarter kickstarter.
Sweet!
Tanks looks amazing 🙂
6mm hasn’t really appealed to me in the past – but I love the look of those factions! Nice tanks.
Great show. I really enjoyed the age of tyrants interview. I’m not sure I want to start in 10mm scale, but definitely some great looking models.
Beautiful diorama. I would love to win it. Age of Tyrants.
Liking the sound of Age of tyrants, need to see some infantry though!
If you go onto the concept art tab on there website it has some drawings of the infantry
their even!
Gonna buy that magmadroth thingy, throw away the dwarf and stick wings on it to make it a dragon, think GW possibly made their 2nd most awesome dragon sculpt without knowing it
Age of Tyrants is tempting me, but I think I have more than enough on my plate already between X-Wing/Armada/Infinity/Dropfleet/etc >.<
Age of tyrants looks interesting. Wow. thanks for the show! Happy Weekend.
Liking the look of “Age of Tryants”, will be looking into the KS when it kicks of on the 26th of this month. All 4 forces have there own unique vehicle styles, which is something i look for in a game. As for picking which faction to go with, i`m looking at the “VASA” or the “Viridans”. I think once the KS has started i`ll make up my mind then.
As i still have a lot of GW epic stuff around, i all ready have a head start on some ruined buildings. I just have to find where i put them first……………..
Glad to hear you can see the careful design decisions we’ve made!
Yeah, it’s very important the factions look really independent – especially at this scale!
The tanks are pretty huge though! More like Land-Leviathans!
20:30 – Justin is correct. The main production line of the M7 “Priest” were based on M4 Sherman chassis, although the early prototypes were based on the Sherman’s predecessor, the M3 Grant/Lee. But there were few outward differences between the main suspension / chassis outlook of the M3 and M4 anyway.
Justin then asks if they were early / mid / late war. I don’t know what the periods are considered in the game, but M7s were first issued to select US armored divisions an saw action starting in the Torch Landings of November 1942. The British had them via Lend Lease a little before that, and saw action in the El Alamein battles in Egypt. So . . . Mid War and Late War?
Articles covering the first battles of the M7 Priest:
http://www.beastsofwar.com/battlegroup/desert-war-ww2-north-africa-turning-tide/
http://www.beastsofwar.com/battlegroup/desert-war-gaming-ww2-endgame/
The British actually gave it the “Priest” nickname, they thought the commander’s cupola on the side looks like a pulpit. But they weren’t huge fans of the American M1A2 105mm gun, they had their favorite mid-range artillery howitzer already in the form of the QF 25-pounder (they also had tons of ammunition manufactured for this gun). So they often took out the American 105 and replaced it with their own 25-pounder, which was called the “Sexton.”
While it’s certainly a great looking kit, not sure about using it on a Bolt Action table, to be honest. These things usually engaged targets indirectly, delivering fire missions from up to 9,000 yards away (almost 500 feet in Bolt Action scale). So if we were playing at BoW studios, I’d have my Priests set up across the bridge over the river, and be delivering hits down onto the 4 x 4 table. 😀
Cool looking stuff, 6mm is interesting for sure!
Age of Tyrants is a nice looking game but I’m not sure about this 6mm scale. Everything is so tiny.
The tanks are pretty big!
Aim is for bulk, rather than individuals. As I’ve said elsewhere, you can get away with quite a lot when painting at this scale! 🙂
Watch out, we’ll probably do some basic painting guides for the uninformed.
6mm gaiming
I will have to get out my specs for painting these.
Age of Tyrants look like a great game with interesting fluff. Currently owning a Angel Giradez piece, another added to my collection would be brilliant.
I´ve been following Age of tyrants for a while, already doing both modern and ww2 in the same scale. Looks to be right up my alley!
@warzan Good to hear you are getting into Warmachine/Hordes. It’s a great game. It does have a lot of rules and synergies, but don’t be discouraged by the complexity. It can take a while to sort through things but you will be rewarded with many cool moments when it all comes together.
Trollbloods are an interesting choice. I would have pegged you for Cryx (undead and pirates) or Circle Orobos (werewolves). I’m looking forward to your WM/H journey and more WM/H content in general.
@warzan Guide to All Things Trollbloods – a large collection of tactica and information about Trollbloods (Don’t feel overwhelmed by the amount of information, Warren. Just browse around and look at what interests you.):

Looks like a cool game tyrants but they really need to add alot of terrain to make the kickstarter interresting for me. I do not want to search for another different scale
We knew that would be a concern. We’ve made steps to ensure that is offered.
All else fails, there is a range of terrain from Brigade Models that would work really well, and a search for ‘6mm terrain’ on eBay will bring up a lot of results too.
some nice looking games coming out & age of tyrants is looking brilliant.
Great show,
Age of Tyrants looks pretty interesting. I like the universe and still have plenty of VOID minis. I am curious to see if the Koralians will make an appearance.
They are one of our anticipated stretch goals. Towards the end of the ‘Age of Tyrants’ period, first contact is made with the Koralon – so they will be part of one of our Expansion books.
Been waiting all day to watch this and boy it was worth it. I have loved the idea of 6mm for a while and when I saw the first glimpse of AoT I knew I was in. Really digging that Junkers army. Would like to paint them up in JCB digger yellow. Think that would look great
I’d love to see that!
Would be easy too! Spray white, wash yellow, pick out details – done!
Great show all! Nice to see Rob on again and very interested in age of tyrants!
Thanks Paul! 🙂
Will there be a Dystopian Wars crossover with Age of Tyrants? Looks like a homebrew game possibility.
Uhhhhh…
Maybe you can work that out; but we’re not related to Spartan Games in any way, shape or form…
tyrants is looking damn interesting!
Thanks dude!
Nice to see a 6mm battle game, with a sci fi spin.
remember the days of the old skirmish
maybe maybe
have a club full of old users/players and this might bring some back into the game,
hopefully the other raises come back too
Happy weedend!
Isn’t that the same scale as Ogre?
Good stuff 😀 liking the look of age of tyrants and that M7
Good luck with the Age of tyrants. hopefully it will grab market share before epic gets rereleased by Specialist Games.
Looking forward to the Age of Tyrants kickstarter. And thanks for the great video as usual.
I REALY didn’t wanna another kicker….. but my wallet has been kinda gaining weight.
Just watched this on youtube, great video guys, some great stuff this week. Nice to see proper mass battles making a return in 6mm, its been a while.
Also, US Ariadna stuff has been excellent from the start. When I have finished painting the pile of stuff I already have for infinity, I’ll be looking for those bikes.
We whole-heartedly agree that it’s been a hole in the market for a while! Proper mass battle sci-fi, with PROPER development of it’s own. Not just a copy of another favourite! 😛
I would disagree a little with that
6mm Scifi has always had a great following through Dirtside 2 Iron Cow a more recently Strike Legion to name a few as well as some great manufacturers. Some people seem to think the only 6mm Scifi game ever made was Epic/space marine by GW
I agree with you in principle, but those games do not have this level of ‘glam’ development; nor have they ever broken into the mass market in the way we are aiming to.
I agree there are some great indie companies, but the 6mm sci-fi market has always been dominated by Epic as the only ‘popular’ game, compared to relatively ‘Cult’ followings.
No offense intended, Dirtside is a perfectly great game in it’s own right!
Thanks to the community my brain can rest
Too many projects on the go at the moment, but could see Myself getting into Tanks.
Love the Dwarf slayers and mounts-christmas can’t come soon enough lol
Those US Ariadna bikers look awesome. I don’t play inifinity but I’m seriously considering picking up those for just painting.
A new 6mm Sci-Fi game sounds right to me 🙂
Age of Tyrants looks good, maybe bringing back 6mm gaming.
If it wasn’t for me being overloaded with games and models at this point that I have yet to touch with a brush, I would get into the shieldwolf KS. I really do like the idea of plastic nordic female warriors.
Tyrants looks interesting; This may be the one that moves me into 6 mm.
Great to hear it!
cheers
Mmmh crazy penal legions or AIs???
Why not both? 😀
In seriousness, go for the rule of cool. Check out the models on KS when it goes live and pick based on what you love the look of.
What a great show today!!! I am so hyped with both tank games!!! Bring it on….. Maybe a weekend Age of Tyrants coming soon 🙂
6mm wargaming sounds interesting…… Wonder what the pledge levels will be
We’ve got some reeeeaaaally interesting approach. 🙂
Hey what do you know! I actually won! Awesome stuff, BoW! I’ll be putting that terrain set to good use in both TWD and Batman!
6mm is looking great
Hello,
I love the Giraldez diorama and the Age of Tyrants looks promising but I am still at the point in which 6mm is not my scale.
I am interested in seeing what the infinity look like in 6mm. I remember not liking the infinity in Epic 40k and I never got into the game because of that.
I hope the Age of Tyrants KS will be very successful! I wait for this game for years now!
I am sure, I will play Junkers! They have awesome looking units!
Thanks, dude!
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Tyrants looks amazing! I’ve just got into Gates of Antares and now this??? I can’t wait to see the how to play videos. There needs to be more 6mm gaming. Epic scratched that itch, but now that it’s gone underground, it’s a sadly vacant niche.
I think my most anticipated games for this year are Heavy Gear Blitz (new plastic starter set and edition), Gates of Antares (more new models and expanding range) and now Age of Tyrants.
Any idea how long Age of Tyrants would take to hit retailers?
Hey!
No idea at all. We hope to hit retailers, or we might do direct only. At the moment, that’s not clear and really depends on how well it funds on Kickstarter.
Some shows have got too much lovely goodies, this is one of them. Starting with the news, I think I gonna love Tanks. Only a couple of tanks each side. You can paint them however you like. Maybe some white wash and others in some dessert pattern. For this price I will try it out.
The new miniatures of Warmachine and Hordes look very good. But I would recommand to start Malifaux instead. Play both games for a couple of demos and find out yourself. I really like games with hidden agendas and that is what you get in Malifaux. Besides Warmachine is becoming a massive game instead of a truly Skirmish game.
The easy riders are awesome. Infinity has got the most beautiful miniatures of the world. If you don’t play the game, you want some just for showcasing.
And Age of Tyrant looks very good. We doesn’t like Epic scifi wargaming. A table of 4 by 4 and played in a hour. It got all you want. All factions look very good. I am not that fan of resin, hard plastic would be nice in a starterbox. Maybe it would make a nice stretchgoal.
The Shieldmaidens vs Orcs looks good too. I like real fantasy horde games and this has it all. And I am a true fan of werewolves, I always play it on camp with my class. So much fun if you play the game with 30 or more players.
The Infinity Desparadoes reminded me of the film Harley Davidson and the Malboro Man
Age of Tyrants looks great. I love the Viridians. I was not going to do any Kickstarters for a while this year but that has changed my mind. The casts were amazing.
Thank you very much! 🙂
Glad you like them!
I find 15mm infantery difficult to see, even wearing glasses.
6mm?, I´ll stick to 28mm so i can see what i´m painting.
I´m getting old by the way.
Bah, our CEO, John Robertson, is like a million years old. 🙂
Well I’m 50 next week and I still find it easier to paint 6mm than 28mm
Me too, too much is expected on 28mm paint jobs, 6mms the new 28mm for the over 50’s 😀
I have mixed feelings about some of the units proposed for Age of Tyrants, but perhaps I just need to see more of them to get more of a feel for the look of the setting.
The game sounds very interesting though so I’ll definitely check out the Kickstarter. I used to love Epic and would love to do some more 6mm gaming.
Art please please
Wampa? WAMPA? Pulling your guys’ Star Wars Nerd Cards now…
Luke was attacked by the Wampa in the cave. Han put Luke into a Tauntaun to keep him warm!
Blaster was here…
More great Kickstarters. I am running out of hiding places…
Wow, we’re feeling incredibly positive about the Age of Tyrants Kickstarter now. Thanks for all the comments, your reaction has been a real boost.
After a busy weekend only just getting round to catching up with this stuff 🙂
Magmadroth’s looks avesome but I don’t like how new dwarf looks like.
Dwarves never really caught my interest, but the Fyreslayers might change that. The rank and file look cool, but the monster is amazing. Would love it as a paint project.
Age of Tyrants looks interesting. I think Varidian would be my faction of choice by the looks of the models. Looking forward to see how it plays.
I never tried a 6mm game before and this looks like a great game to start. But the unpainted models look kinda weird (not the sculpts, the feeling they give) and I have to say I’m a bit uncertain about painting such small items.
we have painting guides on the KS so check ’em out
Wow!
Age of Tyrants looks like a great game. Love the 6mm scale and the massive battlefield to be exploited. Weapon range and high movement just become much more of a tactical thing in this scale than in say 40K.
Im sold on the drone AI army!
I love me some 6mm, it’s just such an EPIC scale. But not so sure about the setting of age of tyrants.
Loving the quality of the Age of Tyrants cast. Will definitely be looking at the Kickstarter
cheers 🙂
Leaving. Comment. To win. 😉 Great show as always. Happy to be a backstager, and yup, have also pledged the AoT KS.
@warzan: if you’re going to play Trollbloods, you should pick up Mulg the Ancient, probably the best heavy warbeast in the entire game. He is incredible. The model itself is also completely badass.
Age of Tyrants looks interesting.
Very cool, been waiting to back this one for some time.
Cheers!
For sure the first kickstarter that get my atention, but for now cant bake any other projects due some of last years havent been recived, so Will wait for those to complete and enjoy. Kind cool look for vasa and junkers, lets see how it goes!
I’m glad ti got your interest fella, we were funded within the first few days, not it’s about opening those stretch goals, all the best
Angel’s awesomely painted miniature really piqued my interest. I’d love to win it…
