Here's a little of the background on this faction for Dystopian Wars...

"The Navy of the Celestian Empire is the brainchild of Empress Shinzua, who as Speaker of the fleets quickly moved to control all aspects of nautical warfare in addition to her originally more prosaic areas of responsibility. The Empire is considered a global naval power, especially after their victories at Tsushima and Myeongnyang during the Anglo-Russian Korean Expedition. All of the coastal nations of the Empire design, build and crew their own sea-going vessels, but all ultimately serve the Blazing Sun. Warships are a source of great pride within the Empire, and the expansion of their borders necessitates deploying them more visibly, something that has been welcomed by the Empire's Admiralty."

Much like with the other sets from Warcradle for Dystopian Wars, this pack comes with both resin and hard plastic miniatures.

Each of the ships has been designed to draw on iconic imagery and design from China. You'll note that very familiar roof design that features across all of the ships and the roaring dragon motif too.

The set comes with one of the big Ning Jing Class Battleships which can also be built as a Yangtze Class ship. The Battleship is then supported by two Jian Class Cruisers which can also be built to represent Dao, Mery and Wusong Class Cruisers too.

Finally, you also get four Shanghai Class Frigates which will be do screening for the fleet as it moves into position. Chemical flame cannons, rocket batteries and coordinated attacks are the name of the game when it comes to The Empire's tactics so keep that in mind when running this fleet.

Are you going to be taking to the high seas with the Ning Jing Battlefleet Set?
