September 16, 2022 by crew
It's OTT Weekender time! Building a Kings Of War army? Why not have a look at the Historical & Fantasy armies from FireForge games that could make it easy to get wargaming with some ace-looking 28mm miniatures?
As well as being great for Kings Of War armies, these miniatures provide you with an excellent alternative to the usual Games Workshop Warhammer-themed miniatures that we see popping up from different creators.

Happy Weekender All and to All a Happy Weekender. Great to see Warp minis getting the spotlight again. With the release of the new Twilight Imperium universe game I suggest the Tim Pratt novels, great light sci-fi reading in a game inspired universe packed with adventure. I’ve read all three now and enjoyed them immensely. It would probably take you longer to play a game of twilight imperium than read all 3 books but I’m a fan so happy to see the universe expanding in new directions.
happy weekender guys!!
What? Friday already?! oO
Happy Weekender time’s people.
You get them on your credit card and gives you more time to pay it off Justin.
Keep it stupid simple??
Another great chinwag tutorial from Professor Gerry and the crew… ?
That’s the mutant turtles mobile Justin.
It’s got Amanda Donahue scantily clad is a winner of me Lol.
Was a goodin chaps.
I guess Preturnia is what happened before Eternia?.. Although you would expect eternity goes both ways so there wouldn’t be a before…
Another weekend. Giving this a watch while at work to get me through it!
Infinity is a game I really want to get into. Fantastic show as ever. Have a fantastic weekend folks!
Win free this, win free that, even the stl. is free, but no FREE. Bring the little girl back as a freelancer.
Hello all! I’ll settle some of the debate on the Knights of the Round Table range. Gog’s ball is not attached to his base. It was just glued on. There will be a length of chain supplied as well so that you can position the ball and chain however you would like on the base. The Club also works great with nothing attached if you don’t want to have the ball.
We are also planning on a short delivery Kickstarter to help us gage interest in the card packs and inventory quantities. Everything is already made and ready to go! We just need to know quantities.
Thanks for the spotlight OTT!!
Ah, the Lambton Worm! A tale from my childhood. For those not familiar with it, here are some links for you.
First, a fantastic rendition of the song by Geordie Wilson: https://youtu.be/zUVWdGwVBw8
Then, if you feel like trying to sing along, here are the lyrics and yes, I know that the Geordie dialect can be confusing: http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/folk-song-lyrics/Lambton_Worm.htm
And finally, if trying to wrap your head around the way we speak up here in the frozen North East of England is just too much for you, here’s the tale in a more “soft-southern shandy drinker” way: http://www.history-for-kids.com/lambton-worm.html
Now gan canny an’ divvunt you be scared o’ nee wurm!
It’s the Weekender show!
This episode is 100% Free free……….(so sad, but she’s on to a new adventure).
The Boyz go ol’school. ‘The Fab Four!’ (or has that already been used)? ?
FireForge Games ‘Amazon Players’ for the win! (I’ll buy some to play against a buddy’s GW lady team in Blood Bowl.
Corvus Belli makes such grand miniatures.
I’ll be adding those support packs to my ‘Black Wind’ set. And grabbing that new TAG for my NOMAD forces.
I have really enjoyed ‘Star Hat Miniatures’ By Darcy Percy.
I have backed a Kickstarter of these that produced metal miniatures. Absolutely love them. Their styling is fantastic and wonderful. ??
So much character in each sculpt. I even purchased a couple of DarkWing Duck minis while snagging many many dungeon themed duck adventurers. And the Duck Dragon is simply the BEST ever!!!
Thumbs UP Darcy! ???
King’s of War again Gerry and Ben? Not complaining mind. Good to see Infinity back in the news too. Happy weekender.
I wonder if they’ll ever be returning to the studio?
we are but everytime someone mentions it we push the date back again 😛
Reminds me that I really must get around to doing “something” with the Northmen kits I got from FireForge’s kisckstarter…
Loads of interesting stuff this cweek. I hope Keyforge does make a successful comback as it had a lot going for it. Some lovely minis this week in a variety of scales too. Well found everyone.
Cute to see the Lambton Worm being realised. We live not far from County Durham so we’ve got a bedtime story of it for the snotlings as it’s fairly well known in our neck of the woods.
I love those dwarfs from Fire Forge games.
Shiny syndrome is kicking in.
Stop. Stop. First have to finish at least one army.
Oboy! Two days without the stock market falling! 😛
Still haven’t finished painting my orcs vs. undead armies for Kings of War. I think I bought them at least ten years ago. 😛
Going by the username I’m sure it’s obvious I’d start an Emperor’s Children from that HH box, lol.
Been waiting for beakies to make a return for a long time, why are they so big bloody scale creep. They do look nice though and the old style rhino is lovely.
I’d buy that for a dollar
I love those Fireforge miniatures, and they work so well for Barons War
Good stuff. Cromarty Romans look ace. I have some Cromarty minis printed from their fantasy 10mm. Great sculpts and they print so well.
I’m loving the Horus heresy models. It all started for me back with epic space marine! I love this lore! Great show, well done.
Hmmm… Fireforge are on the mental Generic Fantasy list for future purchases.
I’m with Ben, I like the Votann, but that box isn’t for me. I’ll pick some up to use in Stargrave or other sci-fi
If you’re sick if looking at space marines why are you happy to see those dwarves? They are literally space marines with the aspect ratio wrong. Actually, someone go “fix” that image and set it side my side for me please.
great weekender, thanks Lads. So want to get some Cromarty Romans they look sweet
Still need to grab that new Horus Heresy box maybe this will be my lucky comment
I really like the FireForge games Miniatures. Such a great range of stuff and so easy to mix and match between the historical and fantasy ranges to make some really cool fantasy armies (@lloyd the undead cavalry with the horns on its helmet is a dead soldier from the Albion Knights, who have helmets like the old GW Bretonnian knights).
The Fire & Sword stuff is made by a company called Wargamer Games Studio, a Polish company. They also have a UK website now so you can get the Fire and Sword stuff in the UK. I haven’t ever played Fire and Sword, however I do have their boardgame, Anno Domini 1666, a sort of alternative history 17th Century Europe. One of the factions in the basic game is Poland and the characters are from a novel called By Fire and Sword which I am told is a sort of Polish 3 Musketeers story. The other faction is France with characters lifted straight from the Three Musketeers

You can get the fire forge stuff over here from time to time (Norths Star sell them) but stock can be a bit patchy and you might have to search around various webstores to see who has got what
Happy Tuesday!
FireForge Games minis still looks great! You’ve kind of rekindled my love of their undead!
Thanks for the show guys
Did Gerry sneak in a Motorhead reference there?
Yngwie Malmsteen.. he is a grand guitarist, bit of a show off though. Great show guys
Warp miniatures make some lovely sculpts, really wish their patreon STL were available as actual minis.
Fireforge minis are eazy to build and paint. Nicely detailed but not so detailed it requiring too much painting time.
