A NEW Hope For Star Wars: Legion? New Rebels & Stormtroopers Look Amazing! #OTTWeekender
March 21, 2025 by crew
It's OTTWeekender time! Is there a new hope for Atomic Mass Games' Star Wars: Legion? Some brand new plastic sets are coming soon for the classic Rebels and the Galactic Empire for those who want to refight the epic battles of the original Star Wars films.
These new miniatures give new life to the older Star Wars: Legion range and could be a sign of things to come in the next few months. Could we end up seeing lots of the older Star Wars: Legion miniatures getting an update and more people returning to this tabletop game?

and just today the rules for SW:L V2.6.1 dropped in German! HUZZAH!
Firesale my rear end! 😉
This edition of Legion I might actually do more than paint; I used to just buy and paint the models, sent all the cards to a friend.
New hard plastic is appealing.
I’ve been tempted by Star Wars Legion for a long time. I’m looking forward to the news later today!
Just as I give in and buy Shatter point models new Legion appears!!
Still kinda baffled by AMG’s decision to put out new rules & aesthetic for Legion MONTHS ago, and only now get around to announcing updated starter sets. Really drives home the idea that they don’t especially care too much about Legion (even if it is getting more care & attention than X-Wing or Armada did from them…) over Shatterpoint and MCP…..
My i please win
Common sense in this industry???
The 10mm Orcs look awesome! Have a great weekend!
15mm is a great scale for pretty much every type of game. I’m looking to get a higher resolution 3D printer so I can scale down 28/32mm minis while preserving greater detail.
Let’s all agree it’s Ozzy and get an early night
Love the Legion miniatures. Hate the rules.i would like them to create more units.
Nice show lads, the 10 to 15mm stuff is really starting to take my interest has i am as Lloyd says an old git!!
My weekend starts tomorrow and my week off starts a week tomorrow. There’s too muck work in my life and not enough hobby.
I know that feeling. I’ve been flat out for months now. I’ll maybe hubby in May
Yay weekender time folk’s 👍😆👍
Good one chaps…
God Dam It Gum Dam🙆
Conan adventuring
I thought it was 13.5mm figures you liked especially for your Rome table Lloyd ?🤔
Ooh a Macmillan army ?
Space Hobbits’es
Good show guy’s 👍
Yeah, I ‘m going with Ozzy, given that his nickname is “The Prince of Darkness”.
New Ahsoka and Storm Troopers are looking good. I may grab them just to paint.
And an exhultant cry went out from the Imperial garrison supply officers “Yes! We’ve been uparmored!!!! Ewoks be damned”
And we’re off!
Skimmed over the Mace Face tribesmen article the other day and had to check back twice that they were indeed 15mm. I completely thought they were 28mm at first glance.
The stronghold terrain collection looks amazing! So many ideas….
I will have to see if someone will de interested in the Gundam card game in my friend group.
I might have missed it, are there plans for a new 2-player boxed set for Star Wars legion?
In for the week!
Its funny that no one has touched the sequel trilogy for minis.
Ah, the Keks has been aktzeptiert. You are now on the list @johnlyons XD
So, Doc Snyder and the Noseman. There is Helge Schneider (actor, writer, composer and very weird comedian) who (amongst other things) created the movie “Texas – Doc Snyder hält die Welt in Atem” in 1993 and Doc Snyder’s enemy is “Der Nasenmann” (the noseman). That’s all to it.
BUT!
I dare you to watch his movies. They are “en par” with Suburban Sasquatch, Peety Wheatstraw and all those. And his songs are about “kitty toilets”, “rice” and “beautiful girl, toss your hair for me”.
You’ve been warned!

I Would Love to win this one 🍀
I love Stronghold Terrains SAGA collection (and pretty much everything else). But they don’t have the UK as a delivery location anymore (as far as i know) and i don’t know of any UK shops stocking their stuff.
“Its very big and very long” John 2025
Anyone else hear the curb your enthusiasm theme when he said that or was it just me.
Those 15mm barbarians look amazing, very tempting.
@lloyd I remember Syndicate, and it was amazing. That Gauss rifle rocked.
Ah i remember Syndicate. Cracking game! Great show guys!
So on the Legion front, army boxes have already been revealed and updated sculpts of the early characters are seemingly getting bundled into hero sets later in the year.
Also new clone troopers that replace the phase 1 & 2 sets because those were PVC as well. Phase 2 clones are now just an upgrade option so it is just one core unit box.
Just when I thought that Lloyd didn’t love The Weekender anymore. 🙃
Nice one:)
Here’s a fact that just popped into my head about Syndicate.
In play test editions of the game, as well as innocent civilians, the cities had dogs wandering about. The final release of the game had these dogs removed as the play testers complained that they didn’t like that the dogs would get caught in the cross fire between the gangs and you end up with little pixel dog corpses littering the streets.
Hm, I should play some SAGA again.
Hope Beast in the Broch gets its Indie showcase soon, or are you waiting for Doctor Who on the 12th and aim for a tie in overview 🙂
I’ve always liked that Anvil Industries stuff. If I ever got in to 40k, especially Imperial Guard, I’d be browsing their back catalogue to build my army from.
I haven’t got a clue on gundam, but I love the models for the game.
great show as normal guys
Love star wars 🙂
Manta Force was amazing! Memories of my childhood right there!
I hope i win 🥰
I hope those Gundams are similar in scale to battlemechs. I wouldn’t mind including them in a binary of long lost Star League era mechs for my Ghost Bears!
I really hope they cover Battletech: Gothic in next week’s show!
Is it wierd that the card game is getting a Gundam Wing themed starter deck that doesn’t actually contain any of the titular Gundams? Or even technically a “Gundam” based on how that series’ internal lore works.
Though it just has me holding out that we’re going to get a set of the colony suits when the miniatures game comes along that they are saving them for.
Oh, and that Ahsoka for Legion. One of the big reasons that has stopped me getting deep into Legion is that I couldn’t do a proper 332nd Company without her so I guess this week was just targeting me specifically. =3
