Otherworld Miniatures have quite a few new monsters to add into your dungeons for when you go delving. We start with some interesting creations, the Dagonite Fishmen which were sculpted by Drew Day-Williams (as with the range as a whole) and then painted by Andrew Taylor (again, as with the whole collection).

Dagonite Fishman Priest - Otherworld Miniatures

Dagonite Fishman Priest // Otherworld Miniatures

The Dagonites are a mix of creatures inspired by the likes of the Deep Ones from Lovecraftian mythos as well as the Kuo-Toa from Dungeons & Dragons. Based on a selection of short stories and then turned from concept art into reality, these are some great looking minions for you to tackle on the tabletop.

The collection contains the Priest plus the Assassin so far as well as a band of Warriors who are no doubt trying to defend their temple from aggressors.

Dagonite Fishman Assassin - Otherworld Miniatures

I think that these would be great creatures to throw into the mix when playing classic dungeon delves into the Underdark of Dungeons & Dragons. You could face off against goblins and kobolds but the further you go, the more weird and eldritch the enemies become. Imagine stumbling upon alien-looking ruins which are defended by these strange creatures who have never seen the sunlight?

Dagonite Fishman Warriors - Otherworld Miniatures

It would be really fun to see someone painting these up in different ways. The blue and red here looks good but I think they'd also look neat in a subterranean green with a flash of yellow here and there. Watch out for their cruel and rusted weapons which are well practised at snaring individuals and dragging them away to their doom.

Classic Dungeons & Dragons Monsters

As well as the Dagonites, you can also check out a pair of classic beasts from Fantasy and D&D. The first of these is the Chimera...

As we mentioned when we did an episode of The Weekender and talked about Otherworld on Indie Of The Week, I really like the classic look of these creatures which appears to combine the style of AD&D with more modern sculpting techniques. This would be a rather awesome beast to put against an adventuring party when they least expect it.

The Griffon might be a more friendly encounter for your party on their travels.

This could be a faithful steed for one of your characters perhaps, tamed so that they would stay by your side and defend you from all-comers. I think that the pose here is a little static but it doesn't detract from the neat details of the sculpt.

Otherworld Help With Finding A Quest

When it comes to questing in D&D, you often need an NPC or two to talk to in the local town. That is where this fellow might come in!

Farmer's Cart Conversion Pack - Otherworld Miniatures

Farmer's Cart Conversion Pack // Otherworld Miniatures

This pack might be good for adding a bit of colour to your tabletops but it could also be something to protect on its way through the wilderness. I also like the idea of packing the back of the cart with bandits who are just waiting to jump unsuspecting people on the road!

Maybe a quest that you could do for the Farmer might be to find his lost cow?

Cow // Otherworld Miniatures

I like the idea of having to follow the bell as it sounds in the forest, wandering between the trees as you look for this missing critter. A cow might be this farmer's only means of income so it seems like it could be quite the valiant quest to go look for this creature so that no monster drags it off into the darkness.

Are you going to be picking up any of these new miniatures?
