Haven’t heard of blood red skies before, but I’ve generally enjoyed dog fighting games. Guess this means I have some research to do.
Never tried this style of game. But I must say they look good and it doesn’t look that difficult to get into!

I did like that cliffs of dover table. Lloyds foam scenery would be a great way to replicate it.
Yes, Lloyds foam would make for some huge cliffs.

I never played this type of game before – and my uncle was flying a Spitfire in 302nd RAF (Polish one).

Blood red skies seems cool. I’ve looked at various aerial combat game in the past but never played. This one might change that.

Ive been watching all your coverage of blood red skies recently. Ive loved seeing the mechanics with how you can swing round onto someones rear after blating off a few rounds head to hea. It looks like such a great game

Lucky enough to have a demo today at Expo, was good fun and the gameplay seemed to capture the action well.
Looks fun. But nobody interested in it it in my local club.
Blood Red Skies looks better and better every time I see it. And that cloudy board would be great to play on, not to mention a certain WWI aerial game as well. But first, I’m going to have to try Bolt Action on my wife’s lazy Susan.
A new game would be a great housewarming present for the new games room

I really love me a dogfighting computer game. I only imagine that a tabletop game would be just as awesome.

How does it compare to Wings of War?
It is different. With WoW the mechanic it the maneuvering. Because of this the WWI version of WoW is better for dog fights. The WWII edition the speeds are fast and so the dog fights are more difficult. The key mechanic for this game is that advantage, neutral and disadvantage mechanic for shooting versus simply the firing arc. WoW has options for limited fuel and limited ammo. WoW has a lot more miniatures. This game is more concentrated on squadron level combat vs individual fights.

I have been following this game since it was announced. Now I am looking forward to seeing some new aircraft, particularly would love to see the Fw-190 and P-38
Interesting; will need to check out the Let’s Play Blood Red Skies video…..but later, it’s 3.30 in the a of m, been up all night painting German tanks for Bolt Action and I must get to bed or I’ll be dropping like a tuppeny one in the briny!!
this game looks amazing, but i will have to instruct my cats on the finer aspects of dog fighting

Love Warlord’s other games! This looks to be just as good too. They really are going after all angles of historical.
It’s a fun game. It’s a bit abstract but that speeds up play and allows you to concentrate on tactics instead of mechanics.

This is a really fun little game that is surprisingly complex on a tactical level. I’ve had a demo and it was an absolute blast! Everyone should want to win this prize 😉

Blood Red Skies could be one of the few WW2 games I’d play. Generally it’s not my setting, but aerial combat is tempting.

I just bought 4 of these core sets for our MiddleSchool Historical Miniatures Gaming Club for next years gaming. Might just have to pick up one for myself though as I was a big WWII airplane model builder as a kid!

Blood red skies is a good game, it has a good feel of how I’ve read aerial combat to be. Can’t wait for the next wave of aircraft to come out.
Some members of my club were playing this last night and the more I see it, the more I want it.

My dad came along this year and we was really taken with this. There were a few air combat games on display and this certainly looked the most playable. One for his birthday or Christmas I reckon!

tried this out on Friday, a great tactical game unfortunately very limited in funds this weekend only spent £40.00 on gaming, the most restrained I have been but played lots of great games and met loads of really nice people.

I have watched someone at my games club play Blood red Sky and am really itching to play it myself.

This is definitely a game that I would like to add to the library. I have watched the play through and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it played.
A dog fighting game sounds super fun. I wonder how different it is from Wings of War?
This was a great pickup from Salute for me, played it on the pud table straight away that night. Really quick to understand the rules, and really fun to play. The abstraction of advantage and disadvantage is a nice move, and i really liked that the standeed moved, looks great but also makes it easy to read the battle and not cluttering up the table with status tokens.
Definitely something I’d like to play. On the backlog it goes.

We had Armed forces day in my town last week and it had a fair few Air displays. Dog fighting taste buds wetted.
Warlord has become my go to miniature company. Always great products and services.
