Had a blast, great weekend hobbying, nattering about things historical particularly tanks. Didn’t play but way to busy building painting , looking and talking to re-enactors , looking at kit etc.
Thanks to @warzan for putting it on @dignity @dracs @avernos and John for the running the front end of show, really big thanks to Lloyd, Tom, Ryan , Colin and Lance for all the hard work at the back.
Thanks to guys at Battlefront for their efforts and a very nice breakfast chat in hotel on Sunday morning.
So here are my photos of weekend for those who don’t know me on Facebook

June 10, 2019 at 11:02 am #1402923And of course @warzan had to add his knowledge of WW2 Sherman secret wpns ( but he is missing the historically accurate presence of Giant Ants)

June 10, 2019 at 9:30 pm #1403229You know still feeling Buzz from weekend , so spent afternoon catching up on D-day docs and watched Longest Day again , still brilliant film , even If my dad took me to see it when I was a nipper.
Not only that but dug out my 15mm WW2 , found stuff that just needs to be finished , plus a box of 6pdrs with Lloyd carriers, 8 more Sherman’s, 3 Stugs , marders Tigers and Cromwells a few tricks I picked up at weekend should speed it up.
Should end up full Squadron of 11th Armoured Division Sherman’s, 2 troops of Cromwells for same, with Challengers (WW2 vehicle not current one for everyone but Gerry and John) plus poss 3 companys of US Shermans oh and lots of Germans
Didn’t realise that Churchills in British army box can be done as crocodiles …….its got to be done!

June 12, 2019 at 9:39 am #1403716Doing some finishing touches to models now home, dug through my decals box and found some Aliied Stars trying to source vehicle no’s for sides . Later will put decals on Germans, also tidying up decals put on M3A4’s done a few years back darker colour not a problem as many Sherman’s had been sitting in field in South of England for years and will have faded, the A4’s are newer models so darker.
