@rayzryr Gloomhaven sounds like so much fun! Also that book too which I missed out on. Enjoy Alita, I wanna see that too.
You could join in and post something anyway for fun?
Those bands I saw years ago when I was younger. I think they both only played Ireland once so I feel lucky and greatful to have seen them. Thanks for the compliments on the Minotaurs. The Librarian is done: I focussed on him yesterday til completion. While he needs a touch-up (which cannot be completed til more Soft Tone arrives in the mail), varnish and basing he is pretty much done. I am pretty sure I will leave the base rim black and do some Martian Ironcrust over it.
Initially I batch paint on the basecoats, a layer, a wash and maybe another layer. After a while when I see I missed detail X on Y number of models it feels like I am stretching out the project inadvertently due to a lack of being able to maintain focus on a batch of twenty or so models. As a result my patience for batch painting hits a critical mass and I stop it. Then, I focus on small units or groups til completion. I did the Librarian now. Next I will do 2x Hellblasters, 3x Reivers, 3x Reivers and so on in a similar fashion til I get to a squad with more numbers or psychically larger models.
As I said a second detail pass for me (especially on more than one colour) feels like extra steps and annoys me. It is easier to trick my brain and just finish a small batch and think ‘Naaaah this isnt an extra step these are just small quick touch-ups’.

@everyone else ; apologies I havent been too chatty aside from responding to when people actually ‘tag’ me or the like. I realise I am kind of just answering questions, responding specifically and posting pics. Still not feeling great so am kind of doing the minimum on the thread this weekend.
