time flies when you’re having fun … so *eh* I must have had fun, right ?

• Have you ever quit the hobby for a certain time?
• If yes: what was the main reason?
• If no: did it cross your mind to leave the hobby and for what reasons?

hmm … I’d say the hobby quit me instead of me quitting the hobby.
A few shops that I used to visit suddenly dissappeared … which basically meant I lost access to almost anything hobby-related.
And because this was pre-internet (White Dwarf had literal mail order section) there was no way of knowing where to go.
When a local (game) convention got started I was pretty much back in again. It’s also that very same convention that had Flames of War … which would one day make me find a youtube video by Beasts of War called ‘Flames of War : for the win’ and I’ve never looked back.

The only real change in my hobby is that I used to collect a ton of RPG material (D&D, Cyberpunk2020 and World of Darkness). These days it’s shifted towards collecting wargames and armies.
