Warren Has A Warm Up Game With The Boot Campers

Warren gets to show off the castle table he lovingly crafted for the boot camp.

The castle table lends itself to so many cinematic moments when rolling armies across it. The combination of high walls, hedgerows and buildings creates a dynamic space which Warren and Rob have been exploring in their game so far.

I have to say, Castle Doodlebug is probably my favourite of these boards…so many way to recreate and add to @warzan ‘s great vision. I’m thinking moats, keeps, and other things that are just not practical on modular boards. 😛

Was this all 3D printed? It makes the game so much more realistic. Great stuff

tents and castles were printed along with some of the buildings. The rest of the houses were from Battlefront

Like the terrain in all the tables; Like the variety between the countryside and the urban ones. Anyone know what Battlefront’s plan is for releasing v4 army books for the winter of ’44-’45? I’ve got a lot of snow terrain that we use in our group’s games.

I managed to get a very quick talk with John and the plan is to release books for nations and time periods over the next number of years so they will be coming but as to when is another matter

Those boards look like so much fun to play on with the different settings. I can envision starting off with a beach board for the landings on the first table and then moving inland on a rural board for the second table followed by a massive tank battle on a built up city board. You could have Airborne units drop in on the second table to take objectives to cut off reinforcements to the beach landing table for added challenges.
