Table Build - Kuwait International Airport
Putting together a table for an upcoming game – marking the 30th Anniversary for the Battle of Kuwait International Airport – a major engagment at the climactic end of Desert Storm and the 1991 Persian Gulf War.
Looking good. The only thing I always think looks amiss with any modern battlefield is an absence of civilian vehicles. When I played moderns it was always something I wanted more of, but I was too tight to buy.
I always wondered what effect a few dozen abandoned combustible vehicles would have on a close range engagement in a built up area.
You’re totally right. I have some smashed up with a hammer, burned up with a lighter, shot up Matchbox cars that work well for 1:72 / 20mm … I’ve used them on my 20mm Ukraine tables. But they are too big for my 1:100 / 15mm tables.
They definitely do make a great difference.
We’ll see of we can’t “dirty up” these streets and tarmacs with some burning wrecks for you. 😀
