Warhammer 40k: Lost Patrol Project Vlog

Games Workshop have sent us this amazing Lost Patrol box with all the miniatures and tiles involved. As we're gamers and hobbyists we're obviously eager to get playing straight away.

Justin's going to be working on the models and as Dawn of War III has been announced, I think it's time for a gritty paint job for the deadly jungle.

I have in mind an upgrade in terrain, I wish to create some 2.5D pieces to place on the board and use some of the spare plants I have boxed away.

I've got the models, I've got my table,  lets get stuck in!

While Justin gets the models built, I've got some plans to create some additional terrain for the placeable tiles.

I've gathered up some spare clay and my trusty aquarium foliage to start some cool features.

We left the voting overnight and it looks like John has won the vote with his mottled green effect. It's time now to start priming.

We're getting experimental with the Blood Ravens and the terrain has finally dried overnight, ready for the next stage.

Quick update, I'm off now TO GET MARRIED! I'm handing the torch to Lloyd to take over the rest of the build and Johns up to something sneaky in the Hobby cave.

We're talking about the colour schemes for our scouts in Lost Patrol. What do you think about the colours we use here?

Painting on our Blood Raven Scouts has begun, and Justin has stopped off for a quick update and chat about the next stages.

John gets stuck in to painting up the Genestealer Brood for Lost Patrol, adding the mottled effect you all voted for.

As promised Lloyd has stepped up to the plate to take a look at the jungle components for Lost Patrol, what do you think guys? How do you make a jungle base?

Time to bring out the details on out Genestealer Brood, John is using an Army Painter soft tone to great effect.

John moves on to his next step for painting up the Genestealers, by adding some hard edge highlighting.

Lloyd returns for another look into the Jungles of Lost Patrol, and how he's going to get our add-ons to match in with the game tiles.

The Blood Raven Scouts are almost finished, now it's picking out those final details to have them ready for the tabletop.

The last parts of the scouts are now finished up and they are ready to have their basing done.

John moves on to adding the final details of painting for our Genestealer Brood, they are really looking good.

Time to add some basing to our Lost Patrol Miniatures and get them finally finished up.

It's all over the minis are done, the jungle components are ready, now all we need is warren & Justin to get together and get a game on!
