Delve Into The Big Four Of Late War

The guys over at Battlefront are also delving into Flames of War in a big way, as they recently launched their Big Four Of Late War project.

Delve Into The Big Four Of Late War

“On June 6, 1944, thousands of men were nervously waiting in landing craft, transport aircraft and bunkers as the fate of the world rested on their shoulders. The liberation of Europe was about to begin.

75 years later, across the world, thousands of gamers are preparing to embark on a journey of their own as Flames Of War returns to Late War. Starting with Fortress Europe and the D-Day series of books Battlefront will spend the next four years extensively covering the fighting in Europe through 1944 to 1945.”

Battlefront’s very own Big Four, Chris Townley, Wayne Turner, Victor Pesch, and Casey Davies, are all starting their own force and will be building it up in the hope of claiming victory.

We’ll be keeping an eye on this over the weekend and you can find out more in this Introduction to the Journey.

It’s good to see they don’t forget about the Russian army. Since with D-Day all attention goes out to the Allied invasion, while a lot of fighting against Germany was already done by the Russian army.

Please, battlefront, don´t leave out the Pacific theatre and the South-East Asian theatre(s), such as New Guinea, Philippines, Burma and such like. There is a lot to explore there, too, and I reckon American hobbynatics would appreciate it. And of course people who loved “Bridge over the River Kwai” and similar stuff.

less likely to do it taking time over 4 years than the usual build paint over 4 months were it forces you to pretty much do it daily

I’m looking forward to some of the new releases in August. The M12 155mm Artillery unit in all plastic comes out. That artillery unit can be devastating to the enemy.
