Check out this awesome green of Trollforged Miniatures’ Alien Behemoth.
Could be pretty at home in any sci-fi setting.
What do you guys think?
Where would you use this alien beastie?
Guyver would be jealous.
If Trollforged pull this off I’m getting one.
Troll Forged is the company that’s going to produce my plastic miniature lines. Ed’s a really great and supportive guy – really into helping “the little guys”. It’s nice to see some promotion here for him.
Your plastic miniature lines? Do tell…
Ed’s developed a brand new way of casting, something people thought was previously impossible : Plastic spincasting! beforehand, you’d have to spend £30,000 or so to pay for the mould (the actual plastic itself being dirt-cheap) used for injection-moulding – but Ed’s new tech allows rubber-moulds, actually making it affordable. Another positive of this is that the new plastic forumula gets detail equal to metal or resin figures too. He’s named it Trollcast, and you gotta love that.
As for my stuff, it’s a pretty niche kind of thing – but people that want bizzare and weird lovecraftian styled aliens will get exactly that, since my wargame is entirely extra-dimensional in setting, hell everything slithers or floats even and theres no humans. As I said, pretty niche but it’s a dream come true – thanks to Troll Forged!
Sounds *very* cool Mr Abstract. Do you have a timescale for releasing this, or is it just something that you’re going to keep all to yourself?
’bout time we had some proper aliens.
Hopefully late this year or early next year, got the first 3 armies in WIP currently – with a goal to do the first 5 with this/next year. You can see stuff here : http://outsidetheuniverseitself.blogspot.com/
Love the vibe for your game – keep us posted as it develops.
Thanks will do ) I don’t think a lot of the sculptors on the TrollForged forum would of gotten as far as we have without his help. It’s nice to know there are people out there like Ed who genuinely do want to help the little-guy.
I hope this Behemoth from Bocks does well too – he deserves it and the recognition since he obviously has a ton of sculpting talent! (way more than me! ))
This is one awesome model. For anyone interested you can see a thread on the Troll Forged forum that Bocks has devoted to his projects. The Cthulhu monster is mind blowing!!
looks a whole lot like studio mcvey’s strain line from sedition wars, It might work well as a second type 4.
I like this a lot. I’ll get it for a few games that it’ll be useful in. Trinity Battleground to name one! Now that’s going back a few years…
