Warlord Games Show Off The Ghar Of Gates Of Antares

Available in October 2015 Warlord Games are going to be launching their hard plastic Starter Set for Beyond The Gates Of Antares called The Xilos Horizon and with that in mind they've now shown off the feeble Ghar outside of their battlesuits...
They are very odd looking that's for sure! I'm not entirely sold on the bright orange eyes but it does make them look very different from other aliens out there. Considering their frail form you do also see why they mount up in those walkers instead of trying to engage the enemy on foot.
Thankfully within The Xilos Horizon boxed set you'll be getting the battlesuits so they can square off against the Concord a little better!
Would you go with the Ghar for Beyond The Gates Of Antares?

LIke the giant suits. The space monkeys not so much.
The suits are awsome. The faces of the Ghar, not type. Might work more to my liking with a simple conversion, switching the heads with Ork-ish faces or for a mutant variant, Plaguebearers. I used plaguebearer heads on my deadzone plague stage 1 and 2, became a whole new level of awsome!
I actually kinda like the Ghar… But I’m not sure why! 😉
I would probably paint my dismounted troops a different colour though- maybe pale grey skin or something…
I will definitely be picking up the starter set at some point anyway!
The big aliens from the beginning of the film the 5th Element nice.
These look great. They could be the faction that draws me into this game.
I really line the Ghar suits and the Concord Drones. There’s no way I’m not getting this starter set!

Hate the infantry but the machines and exo suit look awesome.
I think it’s the paint scheme that lets the infantry down. The eyes especially make them seem derpy
Are we sure the little guys are the Ghar? in the fluff it said the Ghar rarely appear without their armour on due to their fragile bodies and use slaves that have disappointed them on the front line of battle.
There is just so much, dare I say, better competion at the moment……..I can’t see this being a success?? About 5 years too late!
think thay should of used to of the original faction . but otherwise still a nice game got my eye on it
