Get Monkeying Around at Infamy Miniatures

Next year Infamy Miniatures should hopefully be bringing out their tabletop game to go with their awesome steampunk sculpts and have just published the render of one of the low level "gangers" which will be appearing; the Chimp Guard.
It is a chimp which someone has enhanced with technology and now uses as a kind of sick, low level grunt. The perfect canon fodder really.
It's kind of weird how often altered primapes appear in steampunk settings. The soviets apparently did plan for a hybrid army at one stage although no one really took it that seriously, but I guess their appearance in a game is the perfect depiction of man twisting nature. It definitely helps set the tone for the game.
Back in the 1960’s, someone at DC realised that when a comic book cover featured an ape it resulted in a spike in sales for that issue. Pretty soon there was a glut of DC comics featuring apes on the cover and editorial had to clamp down and issue a quota. The moral of the story, everyone loves a primate.
