From the twisted minds which first brought forth Arkham Horror comes a new Cthulhu based game of supernatural intrigue and terror, Elder Sign!

"It is 1926, and the museum’s extensive collection of exotic curios and occult artifacts poses a threat to the barriers between our world and the elder evils lurking between dimensions. Gates to the beyond begin to leak open, and terrifying creatures of increasing strength steal through them. Animals, the mad, and those of more susceptible minds are driven to desperation by the supernatural forces the portals unleash. Only a handful of investigators race against time to locate the eldritch symbols necessary to seal the portals forever. Only they can stop the Ancient One beyond from finding its way to Earth and reducing humanity to cinders." - Fantasy Flight Games

Elder Sign is a cooperative dice based game suitable for 1-8 players. Players take on the role of investigators, using cards to represent such things as equipment and knowledge. The aim is to gather the Elder Signs, arcane symbols which could be the only way to stop the Ancient Ones from breaking through into our world.

In this game the player is truly racing against time to stop the awakening of one of eight Ancient Ones. They must resolve adventures to progress through the game as the clock moves ever onward towards midnight. Each time the clock hits midnight, the player must draw a Mythos card, representing the spreading influence of the Ancient One.

Following on in the train of games such as Arkham Horror, Elder Sign brings a new way for player to experience the terror and madness of the world created by H.P. Lovecraft in a game which can take under 2 hours to play through.
