3 Colours Up – Painting Shining Gems

Do you struggle to fit your gems into your models? perhaps they don't shine the light as you would imagine. Dallas from Privateer Press has joined us in the studio to show you how to make your own gems stand out amongst the crowd like no other.
Gems are tricky to paint, in that they shine the light a lot differently than most other objects, a normal shine on an object will shine on the point that your light is directed to.
However, with gems, it's the opposite, gems and jewellery will shine the light through itself and push it to the other end of its surface.
