Kevin just about done just his face feature to paint. Piggy needs to be cleaned up after applying a messy enamel wash to the cream suit. It mostly cleaned up with white spirit but still needs to have some cream paint applied to make it look right.

Next step for this project … basing

Base coat appliedBase coat applied

All of the miniatures start out with a white base-coat.

A wash of Agrax Earthshade is the liberally applied over that to help define the details and make painting easier.

Once  the Agrax is dry a light top down dry brush of white is applied to increase the contrast further.

Used the four Browns from the GW contrast range, skeleton horde, gore grunta, snakebite and wyldwood to provide an the varied brown tones on the dwarfs

The metals are all done my go to favourite Vallejo Metal Color washed with Nuln oil shade.
Highlights are achieved by adding varied amounts of FW white ink to the Contrast paint to lighten and increase the opacity of the paint so it can be used to apply edge highlighting.
