Leika Is Available To All From Arena Rex

Leika the Zephyri Gladiator is a new release for Arena Rex from Red Republic Games.
She was originally available during Adepticon this year and now is available to all who could not make it to Chicago. This is how she is described:
"Many describe the munera as cruel but beautiful sport – a world more than befitting Leika’s temperament. Known for a beauty matched only by her vanity and contempt for the well-being of others, Leika often spends her nights in feast-halls carousing.
Her mocking of suitors and boasters alike ensures that more of her winnings are spent on repairs for the halls than on meat and mead. Despite all this, she seems always to emerge unscathed and fresh for even early morning sparring."
If she doesn't sound like a bad-ass I do not know what does.

Wow. This just seems cool. It doesn’t fit into anything I’m working on but I would still enjoy having it on my shelf to enjoy. Far beyond the little lead soldiers of old, the mini community continues to grow and find new and beautiful ways for me to avoid saving for retirement.
That is one really good looking sculpt.
This sculpt doesn’t do much for me but that’s the exception with this range. Arena Rex sits top of the list of games I’d try if I gave in to playing another system.
Arena Rex is a good second (or third, etc) game to get into. Four minis is kind of a large force, and games play really quick.
The only complaint I would have is the headdress for her. But I am excited to use her in my games.
What scale are these minis? The scults are fantastic but a bit pricey for 28s. At least for me anyway.
They’re gaming scale. They are all hand poured resin and are easily on par with the top boutique lines out there.
They list them as 35mm on their site, still a bit pricey for me even at that size but hey ho. May still have to see if I can grab one at some point, though if they’re as annoying to get as I hear that’s gonna make me think twice.
My only complaint is that this stuff is hard to get in the UK, as the only store that sells them (common ground I believe) doesn’t have a web store, and getting it delivered here means you get stung by customs and/or a large delivery cost. It’s a shame, as I’d buy into this system in a heartbeat.

I’ve had Common Ground do mail order for me with their Arena Rex minis. I just contacted them directly. I had a chance to chat with the guys last year at AdeptiCon and whilst they’d love to have UK distribution, it’s not easy to get.
